Dear Friends,

It has been an eventful Society year,

thoroughly enjoyable and an

absolute pleasure working with DCI

Dear Friends,

I am very honored and excited to serve the

Delhi Chapter of ISHRAE as the President

for the society year 2013-2014. As you will

read in this issue, the new CWC got installed

on 30th March. About 100 DCI members

witnessed the installation. I am very

pleased with the talent and resources

available within the team and I look forward

to a very productive year with my colleagues in the CWC. As you

may know, this year ISHRAE’s flagship event ACREX will be held in

Delhi and I am very delighted to be the President of the host chapter

for this event. Apart from this National event, the largest event

planned in Delhi is VENTCONF which will be held in the 3rd quarter

of this year, in November. You will hear from the VENTCONF team as

we proceed with the planning and marketing of this event. My

personal focus area during my tenure is to renew all the

memberships which are already due for renewal or will be up for

renewal this year. Since Delhi Chapter remains the largest/oldest

chapter with over 1800 members, we also have one of the largest

population of members whose membership is up for renewal.

With the active support and dedication of my CWC, we will attempt to

continue the forward momentum made by DCI under the dynamic

leadership of Mr. Sunil Kher last year.

This issue of Twitter is based on Thermal Energy Storage, which is a

very relevant topic and certainly a step in the right direction in the

pressing need to conserve and reduce energy. I hope you enjoy this

issue. This issue covers all of the activities of January to June 2013

ACRECONF 2013

ISHRAENight

The Delhi Chapter of ISHRAE organized the mega technical conference related to Building Design, ACRECONF India

2013, on 8th & 9th Feb.2013. The event was held at the India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, Delhi.

About 90 technical papers being presented on a wide spectrum that fcovered air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration

as well as Fenestration and Architecture. ACRECONF seeks to bring together all stakeholders of future energy-

conscious building on the same platform.

ISHRAE worked with American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) to make this

conference a huge success. This year the concept of having Master Sessions was introduced and appreciated by all

the delegates.

Our HVAC Engineers make the lives of everyone

cool & happy all year, but we also try to take some

time for some entertainment ourselves, in the form of
