We need rest to recoup health and vitality. We need to tide over the

unbearable heat of the summer months. It also gives us an

Dear Parent,

Its vacation time again! The uphill task of keeping your little ones

fruitfully occupied must be the top most priority in your mind. Some

interesting, innovative and creative project work has been planned

for your children to enable them to widen their horizon. Kindly allow

them to do the work under your guidance and supervision.

Do visit museums and monuments with your children to help them

explore and learn about the rich culture and heritage of India/ UAE.

Accompany your children to the neighbourhood park and encourage

them for a morning walk and simple yoga exercises.

Setting up a routine is a must to inculcate good habits.

Let your child plan his/her daily routine for a week.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

• Enhance your vocabulary by conversing in English with your friends & family.

• Update yourself with the current events by reading the newspaper daily.

• Revise all the work done in the class.

• Do all the written work on A-4 sized sheets & file them in a beautifully

decorated folder.

• It would be better if each subject can be submitted in separate folders

• Manage your time in such a way that little work is done every day & there is

no piling up for the last moment.

Practice English cursive writing.

Do Hindi copywriting regularly.

Learn multiplication tables thoroughly.

• Submit your holiday homework on the first day of joining school.

Pretend you're organizing a spelling bee for your friends. On a sheet

2. CREATE A NEWSPAPER

MATERIAL REQUIRED:

Chart paper, glue, pictures, scissors, news items and colours.

PROCEDURE:

a. Read the newspaper daily during the vacations and create a

newspaper of your own.

b. Take a chart paper of size 15 inches by 11 inches to create the

newspaper.

c. Cut out headlines, news on current affairs, sports,

entertainment etc and pictures for preparing the following

pages:

Page 1 – Current Affairs

Page 2 – Sports news

Page 3 – Entertainment

Page 4 – My corner (Self-written poems, articles, drawings,

puzzles, riddles, your adventurous experiences, etc.)

d. Give a name to your newspaper.

e. Your newspaper should have a lot of illustrations or pictures.

2. During the holidays, prepare a travelogue giving an account of

your trip or journey. The travelogue should include the following

details:

a. Names of Places visited with travel dates.

[Travel tickets can be pasted]

b. People your travelled with. (Photographs can be pasted)

c. A small paragraph describing the geographical aspect of the

place(s) visited.

d. Locate the place(s) on a relevant map.

e. Write about the interesting spots you visited during stay, the

cuisine, activities you enjoyed over there.

f. Click pictures of birds and plants.

Paste Pictures to make your Presentation attractive.

Present your work in a scrap book.

Decorate the cover of the scrapbook. Also attach a souvenir

with your book.
