UNDERSTANDING ‘APPROVAL RATING’

Approval Rating is a score out of 100 (i.e. % measure) that indicates the percentage of eligible voters (18+) who approve of the governance provided by their national or state leadership

Example: An Approval Rating of 60% indicates that 60% ‘Approve’ of the leadership while the remaining 40% ‘Don’t Approve’. Those who have no opinion are not considered, and removed from

the calculation
