CHANGE

I CAN CHANGE.., WE ALL CAN CHANGE..

Students were at sharingsession to bringChange to make the planet a better place to live !!!!!!!

PRESENTING IDEAS AMONG FRIENDS……

With a thought of bringing a change we discussed with Mentor teacher – Rajeev Dashputre

WHAT WE FEEL ?????

• Students were given the challenge to think about issues where they can make difference.

• They had groups of each 5 to 6 students and every group came up with many ideas/issues.

AWARENESS FOR CHANGE ARE:• Traffic rules to be explained to people and not

to use cell phones while driving• Killing girl child to be stopped• Child labour to be stopped• Taking care of grandparents • Sanitation and hygiene in slums• Making people aware of using paper bags

instead of plastics• To give old things to needy like old clothes,

books, etc.

CASTING VOTE TO THE IDEAS……

• With the abundance of concerns they had brainstorming session to narrow down the most disturbing issue and focus on how the issue can be dealt with.

• Students casted their vote for the concern that on which topic they can design the change.

• The voting result represented that majority of students want to make the planet green and a better place to live in. Students felt that its our responsibility to take care of Mother Earth.

THE PROCESS TO CHANGE….• Students thought on how they can stop damaging the

nature.• So they decided to bring awareness among people to

stop using plastic bags. The first group prepared slogans and banners for Rally.

The second group campaigned door- to – door to

bring awareness . The last step towards the drive was to sensitize people

with a street play (Nukkad Nataka), A group of 5 students performed the street play in different societies, schools

FIRST STEP TOWARDS THE ACTION

• Students started to work on their first step to prepare the script for the nukkad natak (street play).

• Students made groups from the standard 6th ,7th and 8th standard. They prepared the banners.

• And finally they got the opportunity to be on field and made people aware of the changes they too can bring.

ACT AS IF WHAT YOU DO MAKES A DIFFERENCE. IT REALLY DOES.

MAKING PEOPLE AWARE OF DIFFERENT

WAYS TO DISPOSE WASTE ….

NUKKAD NATAKA

SAY NO TO PLASTICS…….Students made the people

aware • Take cloth or jute bag for

shopping • Discourage vendors and

shopkeepers by not taking the plastic bags

• Bring awareness among their own circle

• Reduction of the amount of plastic used in packaging i.e. usually immediately thrown away

• Recycle and reuse of plastic bags should be encouraged

DISPOSING THE WASTEStudents shared with people

about how to dispose waste:• They shared about proper

disposal of plastics. • Never to dispose in the

sewage system.• Pick up any plastic litter that

you see in the vicinity and dispose it off properly.

• Never throw plastic litter in the streets, on the pavement.

After the plan, action and sharing session

• Students didn’t stop their drive to change. It continued on the eve of GANESH PUJA …..they again took out a rally to make people aware about not to use plastic bags , dispose waste properly in proper bins.

• Our school practiced eco friendly immersion of the idol to help the earth breathe

• Brightians did their part by not polluting the soil therefore the drive is on to make people aware about the same.

WE BELIEVE…….

CHANGE can be achieved only when we have:

patience strong determination passion confidence to accept the change

happening around and power to convince

others

Now Its Our Responsibility To Make The Earth Green …..
