Hotel Accommodations OFFICIAL HOST HOTEL: The Official Host Hotel for the 2009 International Finals is the Rosen Plaza Hotel located at 9700 International Drive, Orlando, Florida. At the Rosen Plaza Hotel, the magic begins the moment you step through the doors. The Rosen Plaza Hotel offers SPECIAL REDUCED RATES during the pageant activities and up to three days prior to the first day of the pageant weekend and up to three days after the pageant activities. With its captivating Orlando, Florida location, the world-class hotel offers families a unique combination of high-speed hospitality and exceptional home-style service. The Rosen Plaza Hotel has extended a SPECIAL REDUCED RATE of only $109 per night for contestants and guest of the 2009 IJM International Finals. All International Finalist are required to stay at the host hotel throughout the duration of the pageant competition. Your hotel reservation form is due within 10 days of receiving your Official Handbook. Please be sure to send in the enclosed form as soon as possible in order to receive the discounted rate and to guarantee the kind of room you want. The rooms in the block will go quickly. Staying at the host hotel helps to make your pageant experience more enjoyable since each the events will be held at the Rosen Plaza Hotel, next door at the Chapin Theater or in very close proximity. The convenience of staying at the host hotel is unbeatable. There are several wardrobe changes during competition, parties and events throughout the weekend. There is no hassle of finding a parking space and rushing to your events. And after the day is done, simply take the elevator up to your guest room for a good night’s sleep. Let’s Get This Party Started! Welcome Banquet & Mandatory Orientation: On the very first day of the pageant weekend, you will have the opportunity to meet each and every contestant along with the International Royalty and International Staff. The Welcome Banquet and Orientation will be held following registration at the lovely Rosen Plaza Hotel. The Academic Achievement, Volunteer Service, Appearance, State Scrapbook, Press Release Recognition, Ad Sales, and Cover Girl Awards will be presented at this time. At least one parent or guardian is required to accompany delegates ages 18 years and younger. Delegates should be dressed in a nice suit or dress along with their state sash (no crowns). Guest attire should be “dressy causal.” Family members and guest are invited to attend. No denim please. Everyone attending the banquet must have a ticket, including the delegates. Tickets are $45 per person. Wonder Works Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show: Wonder Works is Central Florida’s upside down attraction, an amusement park for the mind, featuring over 100 interactive exhibits for the entire family to experience. The Outta Control Magic Comedy show is a hilarious combination of high-energy comedy improvisation with spectacular magic, music and illusions to thoroughly entertain audiences of all ages. It is a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience with non-stop audience participation. The crowds don’t just watch the show; they become part of it. During the show, you will enjoy unlimited fresh hand-tossed cheese and pepperoni pizza, salad, popcorn, soft drinks and chocolate cake for dessert. This Out-Of-Control experience will keep everyone on the edge of their seats and tickle their funny bones every 8 seconds. Tickets are included in the 2009 Activities Package (see below). “We Are Family” Pajama & Souvenir Party: You will have a chance to party with the International Staff and your fellow contestants in an all out super girl fest like no other. The attire for the pajama party is PAJAMAS! Long pajama pant or capri pajama pant are preferred. No gowns or sleep shorts. Everyone must wear pajamas to attend. Tickets are included in the 2009 Activities Package (see below). Souvenir Party Gift Exchange: We ask that you bring two gifts that represent your home state to be presented to the outgoing royalty in your division and one to exchange with another delegate during the party. Gifts can be purchased or homemade and should cost no more than $15 each. Gift Ideas: T-shirts, Coffee Mugs, Baseball Caps, etc. No post cards and/or state literature, please. 2009 Activities Package: The Activity Tickets Packages are $45 per person and include the WonderWorks Out of Control Dinner Show, transportation to Wonderworks and back to the hotel and the “We Are Family” Souvenir Party. Add on the WonderWorks Interactive Exhibits, an Amusement Park for the mind, for an additional $15 per person. Add-on Group Interactive Tickets are limited. Everyone ages 4 years and older must have a ticket to attend including the delegates. Activity Package Tickets must be ordered by June 15, 2009.
