th thThe Institute organized National Conference on 'Buddhism and Corporate Culture' on 26 - 27 Oct, 2014 in

association with University of Pune. Objective of the Conference was to bring awareness of Buddhist

practices in a relevant way in today's corporate culture, both at the individual & group level. It was organized

with a forms to improve productivity through furthering harmony, peace, non violence & mindfulness to

Director General while addressing the gathering

emphasized that aspiring student should get an

inspiration from the earlier successful students from

rural background who got selected for the training at

Pune Airport after successfully completing this

course and got salary to begin with. While sharing his

thoughts, IMS Alumni, Ankur Kulkarni who got an

opportunity to work with Pune Airport, mentioned

with proud that, credit of his success goes to this

course conducted by IMS and the guidance he

received during the course. On this occasion,

certificate to successful candidates were given by

Mr.Yazdi Marker and Mr. Ronald Smith. Dignitaries

Mr. Nilesh Waikar from Pooja International, Dr. M.

B. Mehta - Director, Dr. Meera Kulkarni also graced

the dais. Prof. Rucha Tandulwadkar anchored the

While addressing the gathering on this occasion,

about 10 times growth that took place during last

decade in aviation sector. Since this sector have

competition on 29 Sept, 2013 at IMS Campus.

Mr. Sagar Kaigaonkar & Mr. Dnyanesh Shinde were

Tata Consultancy Services presented 'Spirit of

Partnership Award' for conducting GATE online

aptitude assessment successfully. This award was

given by Venguswamy Ramaswamy - Global Head,

iON Tata Consultancy Services.

The Institute participated in 'Indian B-School

Ranking 2013' conducted by Discovery Education

Media's MBA by choice. The Institute has been

ranked 'B+' grade.

The Institute received permission from University of

Pune to start NSS Unit. 40 students have been

enrolled for the same.

lStudents of MPM I & II visited Parliament

House and Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on th

19 Sept, 2013. During this visit they interacted

with Hon. Shri. Sharad Pawar, Minister of

Agriculture, Govt. of India. They also visited

'Planning Commission' with Dr. Kacchap &

Mr. Munde.

lThe Institute received permission of University

of Pune to start NSS Unit & accordingly 40

students have enrolled for this. NSS unit visited

Education, Maharashtra. Directives to schools,

colleges and institutes to have active preventive

measures to curb the social evils of sexual crimes

against women were suggested.

Mr. C. D. Mohite attended a one day workshop on

'Online Eligibility Process Training' organized by th

University of Pune on 24 July 2013.

Library Orientation for fresher's of MBA , MCA and

MPM students was organized. The tour cum

orientation of the different library sections, services,

facilities and functioning encouraged students to use

the library & thus inculcate reading habits along

with self study practice. Informative leaflet of the

Journals, login details of e-resources, easy steps for

search strategy and Boolean Operators were handed

over to the students.

Guest Lecture

thOn the occasion of IT day (20 August) IT

department organized 'Fest-Der-Tech'. Various

competitions were organized for the students of

B.A, B.Com, B. Sc, B.C.A, B.C.S, M.Sc, M.C.M and

M.C.A from Ahmednagar District. 774 students

from 19 different Institutes/Colleges throughout

the district participated in the event. The

competitions organized for under graduate students

were Paper Presentation, Quiz Competition, Online

'C' Programming, Aptitude test and Poster

Competition and for Post graduate students were

Paper Presentation, Blind programming using

'C',Website Development and Aptitude test.

Author speaks-Big Boss was organized by the th

Library in association with MPM Dept. on 19 Aug,

2013. The Chief Guests were renowned author

Mr. Anand Awadhani, Founder Unique Features and

Mr. Sanjay Joshi, Ex-CEO Idea Cellular. The

Library's Newsletter Vol. 4 (1), Aug, 2013 was

released on this occasion. An exhibition of

biographical Flex charts of Marathi Big bosses

working in MNC were put up for display. Book

exhibition was organized on this occasion & the

display included the motivational and inspirational

books.

Two days state level seminar titled 'Library

Automation' co-funded by University of Pune was

organized by the IMS Learning Resource Centre on rd th23 - 24 Oct. 2013. The Chief Guest for the

Inaugural function was Dr. Madhukar N. Shewale -

Librarian & Head, LRC, YCMOU, Nasik. The other

dignitaries were Prof. Amol D. Potgantwar - Head,

Computer Engg, SITRC, Nasik; Prof. Jayant M.

Entrepreneurship. An Essay competition was

organized on the theme of Entrepreneurship. Three

winners from each schools received an award worth

Rs. 500/-, Rs. 300/- and Rs. 100/-.

IMS Theatre Group has participated in

Spardha' held on 24 - 25 Aug, 2013. A short play

'Makad Meva' was presented and bagged two prizes

for Best light arrangements - Mr. Nikhil Gandhi

To mark the birth anniversary of the Father of the

Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, a seminar for all lady

students & faculty members was organized on nd

'Women's health' on 2 Oct, 2013 . Dr. G. S. Gupta, a

renowned ENT practitioner in Ahmednagar, spoke

on women's health issues, diet and maintenance.

Followed by the seminar, Hemoglobin count check

drive was organized by Janakalyan Raktpedhi,

Ahmednagar. 138 lady students & faculty members

blood count was checked.

Placement Cell of the Institute strengthens the bond

between Industries and Students. Companies like

Godrej Agrovet, Sunrise Capital, Axis Bank,

Chrysallis conducted campus drives for MBA

students and students have been placed through

Institute. Students also tried on their own and have

been placed in Angel Broking and Vespa Showroom.

Compaines viz., Zettabyte technologies, Reddvise

Technologies and Sunrise Coldstorage (FMCG) are

coming for Campus Recruitment in near future.

Chrysallis,Proquest Solutions (Velozity), Techno

Planet, Kaizen Computers, Conserv Infotech, Pune,

Persistent, Retailware conducted campus drives for

MCA students and students have been placed

An Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp was

Research Centre Activities

IMS-Videocon Academy of Fine and

Performing Arts (IMS-VAFPA) Activities

The Institute is doing a research on 'Situation of

Primary & Sub Primary Health Centre's in

Ahmednagar & Pathardi Taluka'. For this research

Institute has conducted survey of 15 Primary Health

Centre's & 43 Sub Centre's in Ahmednagar and

Pathardi Taluka. Two faculty members Mr. Sachin

Gholap & Mr. Pawar N. D. participated in the same

survey. Institute has also conducted a survey of

beneficiaries of health centres in Ahmednagar &

Pathardi Taluka. 80 students from MBA, MCA &

MPM participated in the survey.

lIn May 2013, students from third year to

sixth year and also pass out students of

Bharatanatym and Kathak appeared for the

Exams of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal,

Miraj. The result was out in July 2013 and all the

students passed with good grades.

lFour Academy Students completed Diploma in

Bharatanatyam. It is known as 'Nrutya Visharad'.

The names of the student are Mrs. Varsha Pandit,

Ms. Ashwini Bhore, Ms. Kavita Bhambare and

Ms. Natasha Pandit.
