All of our students are out on excursions today. Stage 1 are having a wonderful day visiting different places in Orange. The rest of the school are enjoying Orange East Public School’s concert. I am sure they will come home today with lots of stories and news about what they did and saw. You may even see some dance moves! Remember tomorrow is our Parma for a Farmer day. I cannot wait. Thank you to Rachel and Kylie Lynch for organising. They are working hard to secure donations and get everything ready for the day. What is wonderful about this initiative is the fact that the money we raise will go directly to farmers at Condobolin. We will take a bus out to Condobolin on Friday 21 st September and take the farmers out for a coffee and some lunch. We will also purchase supplies from the Condo stores. This will have a positive impact on the farmers and on the town. Well done Rachel and Kylie – a great initiative. Have a wonderful week. In 1/2 Red this term we have been learning about lots of exciting things. We are reading the book Could a Whale Swim to the Moon? We are learning lots of interesting facts about blue whales. ‘Whales are mammals like us because they have lungs and warm blood,’ explains Latia. We were lucky enough to learn how to draw amazing portraits of Mary with Celcily Knowles. ‘My favourite part was learning how to draw eyes,’ says Kaitlyn. We still love reading every day. ‘I am proud of my reading because it’s getting smoother and I can work out tricky words quickly,’ explains Kya. Classroom Teacher Mrs Thompson

Class of the Week- 3/6 Aqua 3/6 Aqua have had a very busy and interesting term. We have celebrated Education Week and really enjoyed dressing up during Book Week. We have been learning about early European explorers, in particular Vasco da Gama and Christopher Columbus. We have been participating in gymnastics with PCYC and learning lots of different skills. We have been working really hard on our IEP's and got to show our parents all the interesting things we have been doing during our IEP meetings. In Creative Arts we have been making old maps and ships. Zane and Flynn went on the Canberra excursion and had an awesome time. We are looking forward to all the new things we are going to learn in Term 4.

Student of the Week- Kohen Patrick

Kohen Patrick is 3/6 Aqua's Student of the Week. He is in Year 4 and loves coming to school. Kohen's happy positive attitude makes 3/6 Aqua's classroom a lovely place to be. Kohen especially enjoys his IEP work, Maths Online, horse riding and going to the library. Kohen says that Mrs Stevens is the best and he misses her whenever she is away from school. At home, Kohen likes to play with his monstrous train sets and watching movies. He likes Shaun the Sheep and Lightning McQueen the best. Kohen also enjoys bike riding and runs 3kilometres every week.

Everyone is looking forward to the Parma for a Farmer, tomorrow at GHPS!

Money raised will be going to our

drought stricken farmers.

Thank you to everyone that has

purchased a parmi.

Unfortunately, Douggie has gone MISSING!

If you see Douggie around the School, could you please return it to the front office?

THANK YOU.
