durations from 0.5 cycles to 1 minute.

Analysis of voltage profile in islanding operation, IEEE
13 test feeder is simulated using PSCAD/EMTDC. Provide RRL type 3-phase voltage source to bus-1 -
slack bus, substation rated as 10MVA, 11KV isconnected to system to 33/11KV step down T/F andagain 11/6.6KV.
DG connected to bus-13 and fault connected to bus-11as shown in figure.
Using synchronous and induction machine, the voltagesag is analyzed.
Comparative study between synchronous and inductionmachine with and without DG is analyzed here.

The quality of power and the ease of operation due to
mature manufacturing technology makes synchronousgenerator dominant over other type of DG.
Two different mode of controlling;1.One aims to maintain constant the terminal voltage2.Other aims to maintain constant the power factor. The rated RMS line to neutral voltage is taken as
10.392KV and the rated RMS line current is taken as35.283kA

Fault is not connected to any bus
Graphs shows that magnitude of voltage is high incase of synchronous than induction generator.
WITH FAULT CONDITION
During fault condition , when DG is connected
, than magnitude of voltage profile is increased incase of synchronous DG than induction DG.

1-PHASE FAULT
Voltage sag is more found in induction generator
during time period 1-2 second.
In case of synchronous generator voltage profile is
improved.2-PHASE FAULT
Voltage sag is somewhere more in induction
generator than the synchronous generator during
the time period of 1-2 second.

Voltage profile improved much higher in case of
synchronous generator than induction.
Voltage of 1st phase,2nd phase and 3rd phase fault
is analyzed here. Voltage sag increases is adjusted by increasing
the size of DG.
But in term of financial condition , induction
generator is better.
