October is Respect Life Month– A Message from Bishop Malone

Taken from the archives of Consider This…. Daybreak TV 2016

“October is Respect Life Month. The threats to life and assaults on human life are tragically abundant. Since

1973, over 55million pre‐born children's lives have been snuffed out by abor on and the list of assaults on life go

on and on. In some states, assisted suicide has become legal. In other states, there's an effort toward that goal.

And in the face of it all, our Holy Father Pope Francis, in his simple and direct way, tells us to "open our hearts to life". How do we

do that? We do that by educa ng ourselves about the assaults to life that are all around us, learning about our Catholic Teaching

about respec ng all life from concep on to natural death, by wri ng le ers to our poli cians and the media is part of life, and

especially by prayer. Listen to the words from Saint Paul II  "What is urgently called for is a general mobiliza on of conscience and

united ethical effort to create a  campaign in support of all life."

Be Part Of The Life Chain And Take A Stand For Life!

Sunday, October 1st marks the beginning of the Annual Respect Life Program in which the Buffalo Diocese is once again forming the Life Chain. Life Chain is a powerful witness of pro-life Americans,

standing for one hour praying for our nation and for an end to abortion. Thousands of pro-lifers throughout the United States will take a stand for life and our diocese will stand along Niagara Falls Boulevard from Buffalo to Niagara Falls. Our church community will stand in prayer at 101st Street (and park in the Allstate parking lot) where signs will be available. We will stand from 2-3pm. Rain or Shine! Bring a chair if needed.

Rosary Altar Society Craft Fair is A Success Thank you! Thank You! Thank you! To all those who helped out at the craft fair this year, thank you! It was a success and we had so much fun! Donna and her crew did a great job in the kitchen. Bruce and Guy made some fabulous chili. Joanne and Rosa sold lots of basket raffle tickets. Kelly, Jane and Irene sold 50/50 tickets and manger raffle tickets all while greeting customers. Laurie and Makayla had a face painting area that all the kids (and some adults) enjoyed. Thank you to all that donated baskets and Sue and Fran who helped put them together. It takes time and team work to make this event a success. We are truly blessed with such incredible support! Thank you all!
