Himachal Pradesh, which in every sense reflects its

Management – IIM Sirmaur. IIM Sirmaur is an ideal

setup conducive to learning, accessibility and

excellence.

IIM Sirmaur established in 2015 is being mentored by

one of the top most business schools in India - Indian

Institute of Management Lucknow. IIM Lucknow in the

past has successfully mentored two other IIM's – IIM

Rohtak and IIM Kashipur

Situated in a city famous for its abundant natural

beauty, the river Yamuna passes through the town.The

temporary campus of IIM Sirmaur is at Himachal

Institute of Technology, Near Dental College,

RampurGhat Road, Paonta Sahib, District Sirmaur,

H.P - 173025. Paonta Sahib is an industrial town in

the south of Sirmaur district.

About IIM SirmaurThe students of IIM Sirmaur are provided with twin sharing rooms with

modern amenities. Hostel building is very close to the academic block. The

rooms are properly ventilated and well lit. Each student is provided with a

separate bed, mattress, almirah, and a bookrack. Every room has a separate

washroom equipped with modern facilities. Housekeeping service maintains

cleanliness in the rooms and an active staff takes care of mundane issues if

at all they arise. A student run mess is present in the same compound and

serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisines. It also serves as the

common room for the students and the TV installed there caters to the

recreational needs of students. High speed Wi-Fi has been installed which

is accessible from anywhere within the campus.

IIM Sirmaur has an in-house library well equipped with both print and

electronic resources. The library has around 650 books and a subscription

of 22 periodicals and 5 newspapers in hard copies. In addition, it provides

access to over 30,000 e-books titles, 4000 e-newspapers and 500 e-

Magazines. Library is accessible 24 × 7 and several online databases such

as ACE-KP, ACE-MF, ACE-Equity, ABI, Ebrary and Pressreader.

Sports facilities at IIM Sirmaur are one of the best among the new IIMs. The

campus has excellent facilities for sports - football field, volleyball court,

lawn tennis court, badminton court and table tennis. Recent installation of

a high mast in the field enables students to access sports facilities even in

the night. For fitness enthusiasts the institute provides an in-campus gym.

The campus has a state of the art Wi-Fi facility which is accessible

throughout the campus. The computer lab is equipped with latest

configuration machines and provides access to latest software and

databases. IIM Sirmaur will soon become a part of the National Knowledge

Network (NKN) – a pan-India network implemented by the National

Informatics Centre (NIC). After becoming part of the NKN, IIM Sirmaur will

enjoy a bandwidth of 1 Gbps.

The Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur is

fifteenth in the prestigious IIM family of

management schools to be established in India. The

establishment of IIMs was envisioned and initiated

by the first Prime Minister of India,

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.


Lectures, guest lectures, assignments, tests and more lectures! A

day that typically starts from 8'O clock in the morning, does not

fail to keep the students on their toes throughout the day. But

there's more to life at IIM Sirmaur than just its academic rigour.

Sports competitions, cultural and literary events, movie sessions –

these would-be managers know how to unwind themselves and

celebrate life as well! Tucked in the foothills of the majestic

Himalayas with the Yamuna flowing by in all its glory, the campus

of IIM Sirmaur offers unfettered access to nature amidst which

of the finest professors around, the various committees and the

multitude of clubs and special interest groups provide ample

Educational Background

A Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to gain deeper

knowledge about the prospective employers. It allows an organization to take a first-hand

look at the institute and the existing talent pool. The representatives get a chance to spend

some quality time with the students and the faculty. The PPTs are scheduled to suit the

convenience of the organization without affecting the PGP schedule.

Pre-Placement Talks

Pre-Placement offers are made by the organization to candidates who have

completed a 2-month summer internship with them. The exact policy regarding

PPOs is subject to the discretion of the placement committee and should be

confirmed with them.

Pre-Placement Offers

To make an offer, the organization representative will have to fill-up the job offer form that will

be made available on campus. An offer is considered valid only when this form, duly filled in
