What is the IIBA

The International Institute of Business Analysis is an international non-profit association for business analysis professionals.

Vision: To be the world's leading association for Business Analysis professionals

Mission: To develop and maintain standards for the practice of business analysis and for the certification of its practitioners

psychometrician assistance Test questions written in August 2006 Finalizing questions by year end 2006

IIBA CBAP Certification First Sitting held Nov. 10, 2006

16 successful CBAP 12 Exam offers for 2007, including 2

international – London, England and Australia

Business Analysis Certification

Designation - Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)

The IIBA Certification will recognize individuals with an advanced level of knowledge and qualifications

The IIBA will consider offering additional certification programs in the future based on demand

Note: Education Provider certifications will not be recognized as a substitute to the IIBA certification

There are currently 43 EEP’s around the world

Committee will evaluate training programs submitted by vendors

IIBA will provide direction on programs that align with the BOK

Courses will not be audited by a committee member

IIBA web site will have an area for members to review endorsed education providers

Current Status of Chapter Start Up

Kickoff meetings held in CT & JHB (x2) Petition signed by 15 IIBA member to form the SA IIBA

Chapter Acting Board has been assigned Formally establish the SA Chapter by July 2007 Membership target: 200 members by end of 2007 Monthly networking events (evenings) in Gauteng and

Western Cape Get IIBA to offer CBAP exams in Western Cape and

Gauteng in late 2007/early 2008
