We honor Chris for his selfless dedication to officiating softball in the state of Illinois.

Chris was an IHSA official in five sports (basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and football) for over 30 years. He umpiredIHSA Softball for 38 seasons. Chris was Certified in baseball, softball, volleyball and football and Recognized in Basketball.He was assigned to work the IHSA Girls Softball State Final five times. In addition, he served served as the Umpire in Chiefat the IHSA Softball State Finals on fifteen different occasions. He was an IHSA Softball Rules Interpreter, Head IHSAClinician and has served three terms on the IHSA Officials Advisory Committee. Chris served as an administrator in Effinghamand Shelbyville before he began his 20-plus years as Superintendent for Kansas Unit #3 Schools. He said, “I truly enjoyserving the IHSA in any capacity, whether it be as an official or on a committee of any sorts.”
