A vs B (78-74) Team A = (78+81)/(74+88)=0.9814
B vs C (66-59) Team B = (74+66)/(78+59)=1.0218
A vs C (81-88) Team C = (59+88)/(66+81)=1
3. Game situation not covered by these rules and regulations and conduct of
games shall be governed by the handbook of FIBA 2012.
CHESS

a certain board wherein they are to play on that board only.
2. Touch – move rule
2.1 If a player having the move touches one of his pieces as if having the
intention of moving it, then he must move it if it can be legally moved. So long
as the hand has not left the piece on a new square, the latter can be placed on
any accessible square. If a player touches one of the opponent’s pieces then he
must capture that piece if it can be captured.
2.2 When castling, the king must be the first piece touched. If the player
touches his rook at the same time as touching the king, he must castle with
that rook if it is legal to do so. If the player completes a two-square king move
without touching a rook, he must move the correct rook accordingly if castling
in that direction is legal, and otherwise the move must be reverted and
another king move made. When a pawn is moved to its eight rank, once the
player takes his hand off the pawn, it can no longer be substituted for a
different move of the pawn. However, the move is not complete until the
promoted piece is released on that square.
2.3 If a player wishes to touch a piece with the intention of adjusting its
position on a square, he must first alert his opponent of his intention by
saying ―J’adoube‖ or ―I adjust‖. Only the player whose turn it is to move may
touch the pieces on the board.
3. Timing
3.1 Tournament games are played under time constraints, called time
controls, using a game clock. Each player must make all his moves in a
specified time, or be subject to forfeiting the game.
Page 12
a. If there is a checkmate on the board, the player delivering checkmate wins
instantly, no matter what is subsequently noticed about the time.
b. If player A calls attention to the fact that player B is out of time, player A is
not out of time, and player A has the possibility to checkmate, even against
the most unskilled defense, then player A wins automatically. If player A does
not have the possibility of checkmate then the game is a draw.
c. If player A calls attention to the fact that player B is out of time, but it is
then noted that player A is also out of time, then
i. If it is a sudden death time control, and it cannot be established which
player ran out of time first, the game is drawn.
ii. If it is not at the end of a sudden death time control, the game continues in
the next time control.
4. Illegal Position
4.1 If, during the game, it is discovered that the starting position was
incorrect, the game is restarted.
4.2 If during the game it is discovered that the board is oriented incorrectly,
the game is continued with the pieces transferred to a correctly-oriented
board.
4.3 If the game starts with colors reversed, the game continues (unless the
arbiter rules otherwise).
4.4 If a player knocks over pieces, it is his responsibility to restore them to
their correct position in time.
4.5 If it is discovered that an illegal move has been made, or that pieces have
been displaced, the game is restored to the position before the irregularity. If
that position cannot be determined, the game is restored to the last known
correct position.
5. Illegal Move
5.1 A player who makes an illegal move with a piece must retract that move
and make another one, if possible, with the same piece. If the mistake is only
noticed later on, the game should be restarted from the position in which the
error occurred.
6. Game situation not covered by this rules and regulations and conduct of
games shall be governed but the hand book of FIDE.

position is the responsibility of the Starter.
f. Declared false start: swimmers reporting to the Referee prior to the start of

lane of the leading swimmer when that swimmer has two lengths plus five

the turn, during the turn and for the final stroke at the finish. The hands shall
be brought back on or under the surface of the water. The hands shall not be
brought back beyond the hip line, except during the first stroke after the start
and each turn. During each complete cycle, some part of the swimmer's head

swimmer may take one arm stroke completely back to the legs. The head must
break the surface of the water before the hands turn inward at the widest part
of the second stroke.
• Kick - After the start and each turn, a single butterfly kick, which must be
followed by a breaststroke kick, is permitted during or at the completion of the
first arm pull. Following which, all movements of the legs shall be
simultaneous and in the same horizontal plane without alternating
movement. The feet must be turned during the propulsive part of the kick. A
scissors, flutter or downward butterfly kick is not permitted except as
provided herein. Breaking the surface of the water with the feet is allowed

• Stroke - The swimmer shall push off on his back and continue swimming on
the back throughout the race. Some part of the swimmer must break the
surface of the water throughout the race, except it is permissible for the
swimmer to be completely submerged during the turn, at the finish and for a
distance of no more than 15 meters (16.4 yards) after the start and after each
tum. By that point, the head must have broken the surface of the water.
• Turns - Upon completion of each length, some part of the swimmer must
touch the wall. During the turn the shoulders may be turned past the vertical
toward the breast after which a continuous single arm pull or a continuous
simultaneous double arm pull may be used to initiate the tum. The swimmer
must have returned to a position on the back upon leaving the wall.

swimmer must break the surface of the water throughout the race, except it
shall be permissible for the swimmer to be completely submerged during the
turn and for a distance of not more than 15 meters (16.4 yards) after the start
and each tum. By that point the head must have broken the surface.
