PARISH COUNCIL SUMMARY/RESUMEN CONSEJO PARROQUIAL Parish Council met Feb. 13. Meeting started with an opening prayer. FINANCE: Both revenue and expenses are following budget. BUILDING: Drainage and French drain have been installed. We are in the process of receiv-ing quotes on gutters. Work to complete the deck is proceeding. LITURGY: Ash Wednesday and Holy Week schedule has been completed and will be inserted in the bulletin soon. Confirmation will be held on April 22nd. Stations of the Cross will be prayed each Friday at 6 PM and 20 minutes before Mass on Saturday and Sunday. MAINTENANCE: Installed shelving in Social Committee closet. Painted glass in doors separating back 2 classrooms. FUNDRAISING: Scheduled Food Festival for April 1st. Preparing a raffle with drawing taking place at festival. Chicken Picken scheduled for June 3rd. SOCIAL: Will provide a small reception on March 26th after 9 AM Mass. SILVER ROSE: A depiction of the Silver Rose will be at our Church on Mar 26th. There will be a reception after 9 AM Mass followed by a procession to Butner Park. An explanation of the Silver Rose and its meaning will be in the bulletin. Meeting closed with a prayer. para el 1 de abril. Preparación de una rifa que se llevará a cabo en el festival. Picken Chiken previsto para el 3

de junio. SOCIAL: Ofrecerá una pequeña recepción el 26 de marzo después de la Misa de las 9 AM. ROSE DE

PLATA: Una representación de la Rosa de Plata estará en nuestra Iglesia el 26 de Marzo. Habrá una recepción

después de la Misa de 9 AM seguida de una procesión a Butner Park. Una explicación de la Rosa de Plata y su

significado estará en el boletín. La reunión se cerró con una oración. La próxima reunión se llevará a cabo el

24 de abril.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS/ANUNCIOS GENERALES EL CORRAL FUND RAISER—We have received a check for $400 from the fund raiser of January 29. The own-er has offered this to be a quarterly fund raiser. EL CORRAL RAISER - Hemos recibido un cheque por $400 del recaudo de fondos del 29 de enero. El dueño ha ofrecido llevar esta recaudación de fondos trimestralmente. PLAYGROUND FUND—Several years ago Sister Carol and our Building Committee started a special Children’s Collection to help pay for a playground in our new church. We ended this last year while we decided what direction to go with for our parish. With our ongoing refurbishment of our church, we have decided to move the playground closer to the deck and also realized we need updated equipment. We had collected $1332 but realize we are going to need more than that for all the improvements needed. So starting this Sunday, February 26, the children’s jar will once again be on the altar for the children to contribute to their playground.
