The Transport Canada INRAT exams have approximately a 30% failure rate, so pre-studying is
very important to your success on these exams. The Canadian Instrument Rating Workbook was
developed to assist students in the successful completion of the INRAT exam. We do however,
feel the students who benefit the most are those that pre-study with this workbook and also attend
the three day IFR Course offered by Aero Course. The course, lead by highly experienced and
dedicated instructors covers in-depth topics including MET Theory, Practical Met, Flight Planning
and IFR Procedures, Radio Aids, Air Regs and Airspace and Flight Operations.
The following references are to be used with the Aero Course 5th edition Canadian Instrument
Rating Workbook. These references are for personal study use only and are not to be used for
instruction without prior consent from Aero Course. All rights reserved 2006 Aero Course. It is a
violation to reproduce or transmit any portion of this book by any process or to enter its content into
a computer without written permission of the Publisher. In the flying business, things seem to
change at great speed. Due to constantly changing regulations and publications (ie A.I.M.), certain
references may become dated.
We have endeavored to ensure that there are no typographical errors in these references, however, if
you do come across any, please contact us via email, telephone or fax so changes can be made.
Our course dates for both the IFR seminar and ATPL seminar are listed on the web site. Please call

course dates.
