Everyone has one..

We were taught at an early age to let it shine. Perhaps because time and age and people and the world in general can dim that little light so easily.

After almost a year, my filament has been replaced. The electricity of creating and creativity heats me up again. Glowing brighter than ever, I’ve decided to kick off what I suppose will be considered volume two of the IESEF Zine.

This time I’m staying a bit more true to the original concept. Com-pact, black and white, short and sweet, monthly run. No adds, no features, just my works.

Another huge part of staying true to the original concept is “sim-ply” staying the course. It can be easy to lose your unique shine among so many other lights, but you have to own your flicker.

Believe in it.

Blind ‘em.

You’ll need shades this year,

Frayser. Memphis, TN

“Come inside, we got bargains” painted on boarded windows. Hus-tling seven days a week just to stay afloat...

Just to finally sink.

‘Round here, down here, no one takes your word for it.

So we coat those rims and teeth.

If I can’t see it, you don’t have it.

Faking it can be a form of making it.

Death is permanent.

As are the memories of those who are now gone.

Strangely indelible are the impacts that people can leave.

These memorials a reminder

Long after the helium has escaped

Long after the fur has been matted

The memory, legend, legacy will live on.

You do it.You do it out of passion. You do it out of need. You do it out of want. You do it because you can.You do it because you are able.

Expression is something you do.If you’re kinda smart, a little lucky, and somewhat genuineThe love labors just might pay off.Even if they don’t
