What is IEEEmadC?
• IEEEmadC stands for Mobile Application Development Contest
• Teams between 1 and 3 members from same SB or difference SB
• All IEEE student members are eligible to participate in madC (undergraduate,
graduate, phd)
• If you are not IEEE member, just join IEEE

participant this program
• You can win valuable prizes

Contest goals
• Increase number of mobile applications related to IEEE and students
• Applications developed in this contest should be focused to benefit
IEEE, technology, science or education
• Educate and encourage students to develop mobile applications
• Promote IEEE activities and benefits

Contest stages
Idea submission
1st December 2014 – 28th March 2015
• Describe app idea (max. 150 words) and then wait for approval
App development
1st March – 31th March 2015
• Development of mobile applications according to the submitted idea
Judging & Award
1st April – 1st May 2015
• Apps judging and winner declaration.

Application focus areas
• Promotion of Student Branches/Chapters, Sections, Societies or IEEE globally,
• Improving engineering, science and technology education opportunities for students,
• Easier using of IEEE resources through smartphones,
• Using technologies from the IEEE fields of interest for the benefit of humanity,
• Motivation of younger generations to pursue engineering careers,
• Increasing awareness of influence the technology has in everyday life,
• Technology for improving University classes,
• Food and agricultural technologies and applications,
• STEM applications and promotion of STEM disciplines.

• UI Design
• Design of the User Interface (elements such as colors, fonts, icons)
• User Experience (UX)
• Functionality, efficiency, logical structure
• Usefulness
• Providing useful information to users (depending on the content)
• Availability
• The potential number/group of users
• Number of supported platforms

• Team Winner (most prestige) – overall score
• Best Design Winner – biggest score from UI Design and UX
• Highest Popularity App – most liked and shared app
• Computer Society Special Prize – for Computer Society student
members

Contact and submission procedures
• Screenshots of the working application (minimum 4) .
• Link to the short video showing features of the application (between 30-120 sec.)
• Application installation files (.apk, .ipa, .xap…).
• Short (450 words max.) description of usefulness and technical approach and tools used while developing the application.
• Link to the online repository(s) of the application (if the code is published online).
