The 19Y8 Cistercian Studies Conference, 7 - 10 May 1998, will celebrate the founding of 'The New Monastery' at Citeaux on 21 March 1098. Scholars working on the formative years of the Cistercian community are especially urged to submit abstracts for this Conference.

1998 also marks the 850th anniversary of the death of William of Saint Thierry and abstracts on his life and thought are especially invited.

Abstracts must be received at The Institute of Cistercian Studies by 15 Septem bcr 1997. They should be one page in length, typed double spaced, and include the speaker's name, institutional and mailing addresses (with e-mail when applicable) and be accompanied by a Congress aud io-visual form, whether or not A V is needed for the presentation.

Cistercian Publications invites book-length manuscripts on Cistercian and related monastic subjects . Those wishing to submit proposals should request a copy of the Style Sheet from the Editorial Director, Cistercian Publications, WMU Station, Kalamazoo, MI 49008-3801.
