In 1909 the Giro d’Italia made its debut in the cycling world, Italian Luigi Ganna won the coveted Maglia Rosa, or Pink jersey as the victor after 2,408km of racing and today the national tour of Italy is one of cycling’s greatest monuments. 100 years later, Rocket Espresso celebrates this famous bike race with the limited edition, hand built, Giro d’Italia Giotto espresso machine to celebrate those past champions. One hundred Giro d’Italia machines will be hand built, each featuring special limited edition, individually numbered badging, pink manometers in celebration of the Maglia Rosa and a machine engraved stainless steel side panel listing each of the winners in the 100 year history of this great race. Included in the box with each machine, will be the copy of the June 1st edition of the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.
