THE PROJECT
I’ve been lucky enough to meet so many different people from so many different places in the world,What’s always fascinated me is how curiosity give us the ability to connect with complete stranger so easily.
I have been working on this project for years.That’s why I’m so excited today.
On July 30th, I will be leaving on a 365-day trip around the world. Each day of my trip, I will approach and interview a complete new stranger. 365 Days. 365 different and unique humans from all over the world.
I’ll get their story, take videos and pictures to reveal their own unique human perspective.I’ll also ask them to give me one fingerprint and their signature.Using these, I’ll create a 365-piece art series called ‘The Fingerprints’.
Every piece comes with the story of the person who carries this fingerprint capturing the essence of their individuality.
It’s a unique and intimate bridge, a personal connection between you and a stranger from somewhere in the world.
If you take 2 steps back, they are all the same young, old, black, white, poor, rich, African or Asian. But if you get closer some of them look like clouds, some of them look like stones, they are all singular, unique and unrivaled like humanity.
The second exciting part of this project is that I’ll also create a book from my 50 most memorable strangers, using my personal notes, transcripts, maps and photos to introduce you to then. More than a simple book it’s an amazing way to travel and discover the world through humanity, through people living in these countries.
The crowd funding campaign will begin April 4th with a big party in NYC, which everyone is welcome to attend.
