Replacing N3, it provides the underlying network arrangements to help integrate and transform health and social care services by enabling them to access and share information more reliably, flexibly and efficiently. Health and care providers will be able to obtain network connectivity from multiple suppliers in a competitive marketplace and in collaboration with other health and social care organisations. Daisy is one of those suppliers. It is expected that the marketplace will extend to the private sector, and to services such as opticians, pharmacies and even to other public sector services such as ambulances, the police and even as far as education. Daisy is one of only two companies awarded all 11 lots on the RM1045 PSN framework. We have already worked with 800 GP surgeries and 90 hospitals throughout the UK. Our experience of the health and social care environment and engagement with NHS Digital, local government and a broad spectrum of end users translates into a secure and efficient service provider that can be trusted to help you. The Health and Social Care Network (HSCN) is a new data network for health and care organisations.

Why choose Daisy to help you with HSCN?

What challenges does HSCN resolve? HSCN – not just for the NHS

• Nationwide independent aggregator of services

• Compliant with NHS requirements

• Strong history in the health sector

• Other complementary service offerings such as telephony, WiFi, security, networking and mobility

• End-to-end capability

• UK-wide network of field engineers

N3 connections can no longer be ordered. HSCN replaces legacy N3 connectivity and empowers new services such as UC&C, mobile and network connectivity and further digitisation of clinical solutions.

• The ability to reliably send and receive data between health and social care organisations, supporting information and service sharing

• Cheaper connectivity than previous N3 services

• Simpler network Information Governance requirements

• Helping staff across health and care work together

• Standardised networks

• Simpler access to NHS Digital’s national applications, making it easier to confirm NHS numbers, share care plans and access Summary Care Records

• Empowers other solutions (WiFi, UC&C, mobile and network security)

HSCN goes beyond the NHS. It includes both public and private sector health providers, and into the social care market. Already, many varieties of service providers are working together to connect to HSCN and can include:

• Any clinical commissioning group (CCG), doctors’ surgery, NHS trust, hospital, secondary care facility, care facility or care homes providers

• Dentists, opticians or pharmacies

• Local councils, police, fire services or transport providers

• Any new facilities being built
