Inspection Chambers, covers and framesPolypipe offers a wide range of BBA certified circular andrectangular access, non-man entry and inspection chambers.Integrally socketed bases are supplied complete with ringseals to accept 110mm and 160mm underground pipe.Adaptors are available to connect to other materials. Coversand frames comply to a Class C rating, except products codedUG519 and UG544 which comply to Class A+.

Polypipe Flexicon CouplingsFlexicon couplings are available as straightconnections or adaptors for a wide rangeof pipe materials and sizes.

These robust EDPM flexible rubbercouplings have been manufactured to BSEN 681-1 and are ideal for jointing pipesfor sewerage, drainage and other lowpressure applications. Flexicon couplings can be manufacturedfrom other types of rubber to suit customer requirements.

The Polypipe range of underground drainage fittings isimpressive. There is a comprehensive choice in sizes from82mm to 315mm. There are short and long radius andadjustable Bends, Junctions, Gully’s, Reducers, Raisers, Traps,Hoppers, Adaptors and Couplers.

Polypipe has a new generation of foam core PVCu pipes inoutside diameters of 110mm and 160mm. This productoptimises the use of raw material and offers a competitivealternative to EN1401-1 products. Polycore is BBA certified fordomestic foul and surface water drainage and is compatiblewith standard and Polyrib fittings.

Polystorm used forAttenuation

The Polystormsystem is used toretain surface waterduring rainfall events andrelease it at a pre-determined rate, through a flow control device, into anappropriate outfall. The peak flow of waterdischarging from a site and downstream flood risk

are thereby reduced. The attenuation systemmust have sufficient capacity to avoid

the risk of upstream flooding.The Polystorm units require a sealed geomembranewrapping to create an

attenuation storage tank.

ABS is highly rated asa thermoplasticpipework system andis ideal for potablewater, sewagetreatment, foodand beverageprocessing.

ABS has goodchemical resistance with high impact strength, it is suitable for use over a wide temperature range from –40°C to 70°C at pressures up to 15 bar.

Polypropylene Pipe Systems

A full range of valves andfittings are available inpolypropylene which has agood resistance to abrasion,good thermal properties and issuitable for workingtemperatures up to 90°C.

PRESSURE PIPE SYSTEMS

PVC-u PipeSystems

PVC-u is one of the mostwidely usedthermoplastic materialsfor pipe installations.Being odourless andtasteless it is suitablefor conveying potablewater and many foodproducts. PVC-u has excellentchemical resistance.

The good flow characteristics are the result of theultra smooth bore and has excellent resistance toabrasion, making PVC-u a good alternative to themore traditional materials.

PVC-u is resistant to most solutions of acid alkalis,salts and solvents and is WRAS approved and isavailable in imperial and metric sizes with nominalbore from 10mm to 200mm diameter.

OVERLAY FLOOR CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEM

Overlay Floor Central Heating System

Overlay allows floor heating to beinstalled as a “built on” rather than“built in” solution. This can be aparticular advantage where accessduring construction presentsdifficulties or where compliance withRobust Details is an issue.

Overlay can be connected to manifoldsand controls like other floor heatingsystems for whole floor installations,alternately it can be connected to theZRU or EHU for Single Room Solutions,e.g. conservatories, bathrooms.

The Overlay Floor Heating System is alow profile panel system which is laidover existing solid or timber floors.

The 18mm thick Overlay panels arelaid on the existing load bearing floorand glued together. The panels caneasily be cut using a handsaw orjigsaw.

The pre-formed plastic return bendsare placed at opposite ends of theroom.

The 12mm barrier pipe is laid in thegrooves and the system can either bedirectly covered by tile or laminateflooring or a 4mm plywood cappinglayer is used where the finished floorsurface is vinyl.

Can be used under wood or laminateflooring, carpet or stone or ceramictiles.

The Zonal Regulation Unit (ZRU)for areas upto 20m2

Allows single rooms, extensions orconservatories up to 25m2 to beconnected to an existing heatingsystem without time consuming andexpensive hydraulic and electricalalterations. When connected to an existingradiator heating system the ZRUconverts the water flow andtemperature to that suitable for underfloor heating.

2kW Electric Heat Unit for areas upto 20m2

The Polyplumb Single Zone EHUcombines a 2kW Electric Heater,pump and easy to use timer,providing an ideal solution forindependent heating to rooms uptoto 20m2 where it is difficult toconnect to existing wet heatingservices or as required to operate thearea independently of the existingsystem.

Room Temperature ControlPolypipe offer three solutions for roomtemperature control. The control ofUnder Floor Heating Systems isdifferent from that of radiator systems,as the space should not be allowed tocool completely during the heatingseason, a setback facility isincorporated for this reason. SingleZone Pack, 4, 6 and 8 Zone Packs anda Wet Room Sensor are available.
