EXPLORE - Year Long Electives● Concert Band

○ Students who are interested in marching band must select Concert Band and will be added by teacher as 8th hour.

● Choir (Men’s & Women’s) - Students may request choir with or without previous choir experience.

● TIES Peer-to-Peer - Students enrolled in this class will develop mentoring skills to assist students with special needs, primarily autism. Mentor students will accompany a student with special needs to his/her class and model appropriate social, behavior, and academic skills.

● AFJROTC - Students will learn about Air Force traditions, applied flight sciences, militarily aerospace and space exploration. Students will learn leadership principles, physical fitness and many outside activities such as field trips, drill, fitness and academic competitions.

○ There is no military service obligation for students enrolled in AFJROTC.

EXPLORE - Physical Education Level 1 Classes: ONE of these courses is required for graduation. You can take more than one Level 1 course.

● Students will be placed in a year long Strategic English and/or Strategic Algebra if they are below grade level norm on their 8th grade READING and/or MATH NWEA scores.

● Students will be notified in June if you have been placed in a strat support class. ○ Strategic courses replace an elective class. The class is in addition to the core class.○ Students will receive elective credit for this course
