new space and the enhanced technology is going
to continue this long tradition as the space is
designed to reinvigorate the importance of
developing our people, promote collaboration and
increase flexibility. The successful creation of the

This is enhancing our client

EY@Work is
transforming
the way our
people work.
The spaces we occupy have
an important impact on our
well-being and productivity. As we continue to grow – and lifestyles, technology and the
mix of our workforce change – those spaces won’t be the
same as today. EY@Work is the evolution of our workplace.
EY@Work incorporates open, natural, light-filled spaces and
bold, energizing colors that integrate the EY brand into all
aspects of the office environment.
State-of-the-art design
Since the health and safety
of our people is of the
utmost importance to us,
our EY@Work offices
include features like
ergonomic chairs,
adjustable monitor arms
and adjustable height
desks, treadmills and more.
Comfortable,
functional
environments
EY@Work provides a variety of spaces to use based on the work being
done, such as private and virtual collaboration rooms, private rooms with
telephones, power/data ports and wifi that can be used for confidential
phone calls, conversation or collaboration.
Workspaces tailored to work activities
Informal, highly collaborative spaces with a café feel and casual seating
can be used for quick coffee meetings, impromptu collaboration or as a
break room.
EY hubs
The workforce is changing. EY recently released research finding
flexibility is the most important workplace perk among the non-cash
benefits/perks, with 18% ranking it first.
Increased flexibility and engagement
Our people can sit in a virtual collaboration room working with colleagues
in other locations and then move to a private room to take a call.
EY@Work is fluid
EY@Work offices are designed around how our people work, not
where they sit. Our people can choose which work space to use,
regardless of level.
EY@Work is democratic
Digital workspace signs and reservation kiosks let our people easily find
and book space or locate a colleague, and office-wide wifi makes it quick
and easy to move fluidly through the office.
Supporting technology
We’re proud of Detroit’s history and we’ve incorporated
elements of the auto industry and music history in our artwork
throughout the office.
Industry focus
Since the program started, employees’ satisfaction with our work environment has increased, on average, from 68% to 80% in EY@Worklocations. Surveyed employees have said their new office environment helps them collaborate better and be more productive.
Better collaboration, better teaming
Currently, the EY organization has more than 230,000 people in
member firms globally and is projected to reach 300,000 people
globally by 2020.
With a global workforce that is empowered to work flexibly, we must think efficiently about
the way we use our physical space.
EY@Work allows us to grow sustainably and efficiently while reducing our overall
environmental footprint. EY@Work enables us to be ready for the future as EY grows.
