discouraged, what it means is
that you have to make some
more conscious effort next
time you try.

to make deliberate effort to
make them.
So do them deliberately,
yeah! I mean do the habit
and forget it.

This is to find an
alternative/better habit and
replace the old will the new.
E.g for a smoker you might
need to start chewing gum.
