Downloading Autocad 2012 or previous version1:

1. Go to:http://students.autodesk.com/?nd=download_center2. Register with Autodesk, Use your student email ID.

a. Step 1: Provide your email addressb. Step 2: Provide your Personal information (Please check the agreement dialogue box)c. Step 3: Activate your account from the email sent by Autodesk

3. Then Log in to your account using your USER ID4. Go to the Free Software, where you can found a tab for the AUTOCAD Civil 3D. click on it,

then select your Produce version (i.e.2012), your language (i.e. English) and your Operating

system2(i.e. Windows 64 Bit) and go to the next tab.

5. In this step you will be provided with a serial number and Product Key. (!!Please save those foryour future reference!!)

6. In the download method drop down, select Browser Download.

7. Depending on which web browser you're using, you may be prompted to click Run (InternetExplorer) or the download process may start automatically in your download window/bar

(Chrome, Firefox or Safari).

When the download is complete, double-click the downloaded fileor click Runagain.

8. When the download completes, the Destination Folder tells you the location where the ProductInstaller will be saved. While it is customizable, it is recommended continuing with the default

location by clicking Install.

Note: The Product Installer is not the actual product itself. You'll need to launch the product

installer in order to install the software on your computer.

9. Your download is complete! You may be asked to restart your computer before continuing withproduct installation.

Installing into your machine:

1. Before installing the software, you must check the system requirements. For further help, pleasecheck the following address:

2. Launch the Product Installer by double-clicking the setup.exe file located in the system folderfor that product.

3. Click Install.Note: You can change the Installer language by clicking the Installation Instructionsdrop downon the top right.

4. Read the License and Services Agreement for your Country or Region. Select I Acceptand thenclick Next.

5. Select the license typeyou have purchased. For installing on a single computer, select Stand-Alone.

6. Then select I have my Product informationand enter your Serial number and Product keyandthen click Next.

7. The default configuration pre-selects the components to be installed with your product. The

Installation path indicates the location where your Autodesk product will be installed.

To proceed with the default configuration and location (recommended) click Install.

Note: If you customize the Installation path, make sure it does not exceed 260 charactersor you

will receive an error during installation.

8. When the installation completes you'll see a list of the products that have been installed on yourcomputer. Click Finishto close the installer.

9. The installation process is now complete!Activating your product:

1. Launch your Autodesk product by clicking on the (product name).exefile, which is typically savedunder your Programs (Windows) or Applications (Mac) folder.

If you're launching your product for the first time, you'll need to read and agree to the Autodesk

Privacy Statement. Check the box and click I Agree.

2. When the Activation Wizard starts, click Activate.

3. Select Connect now and activate!and cick Next. If you can't connect or have restricted Internetaccess you'll need to manually activate your product.

4. Enter your Autodesk IDand Passwordand click Login.

5. If you have multiple Accounts, select the one you want to register your product to and click Next.

6. The activation process completes automatically and saves your activation information in thespecified location. Click Finishto close the activation wizard.
