Isolate where the leak is.

This might need a little bit of investigating; Very often you

have separated water lines, one for the garden and one for

the house. Figure out which one supplies the sprinklers

you want to fix and shut it off. Buy the same grade, size

and if possible brand of pipe as the one already installed.

Pipes have makings on the sides with all this information,

write it down and ask for assistance at the hardware store

to make sure you get the right one.

Dig a big enough area to comfort work

with the piping. This is important,

because you need to have enough space

to properly work with the pipes and

fixtures.

Remove as much water and mud as possible

from your working space. Cut out the segment

of the pipe line you want to replace smoothen

the edges and keep dirt out of the inside of the

pipe. You can use a paper towel to cover the

pipe’s endings and prevent dirt from going

inside the pipes.

Using green federal government and the sweep that comes with it, main the

outside of both of the staying landscape sprinkler tube stops by artwork a 1-2

inches large remove around the outside of each tube end beginning at the

lip/edge.

Connect a coupler to each tube end by implementing a cover of stick on outside of the

tube end and also to the inside of a coupler. Operating easily, strongly fall the coupler onto

the tube side using a turning movement, forcing hard until the tube visits the lip in the middle of

the coupler. Carry the coupler in place with stress for 15-20 a few moments. The clear stick

cures in roughly 10 a few moments and the pink stick in roughly 20 a few moments so you must work easily. Do it again for the other tube end.

Cut a portion of repair pipe to fit the length of the cut you made in the

sprinkler line, minus approximately 1/2" or more for each straight coupler used (the coupler adds approximately 1/2 inch to the length of the finished

pipe)

To decide the length of the repair pipe, measure from the middle of one straight coupler to the other

using a tape measure. If you don't have a tape measure, lay a piece of

pipe down into the trench and measure it by eye, marking with a

pen or pencil for your cut.

Fit the cut piece into the couplers dry, to be sure that the fit is

accurate and that the resulting pipe is not bent, from the

replacement piece being too long.

Disassemble and make any essential adjustments, until the resulting fit is perfect.

Prime both ends of your cut piece, wait 5 seconds, then apply a light layer of glue to one end of the replacement piece and inside one of the

straight couplers.

Twist pipe hard into coupler until you feel it stop. Wait at least a full minute for that to dry then

apply glue to the remaining pipe-end and coupler. With your final fitting, you may have to pull hard on the sprinkler-line pipe, either to the side or up, in order to get the replacement pipe

to slip into the coupler. Don't worry, PVC is strong. Allow all fittings and joints to dry

completely for 3-5 minutes before rotating water back on in that line.

On the other hand, use a "repair" combining which does not have the

within middle ridge; generally an over-sized area of tube

With a repair coupling you can slide it all the way on the new pipe section,

prime & glue the other pipe, and slide the repair

coupling onto the old pipe.

Alternatively, you can cut a coupling piece in half, lengthwise

Smash down the inside middle side if it's a straight combining. Then primary and stick one or both sections, based on duration of break, and primary and stick the old tube

around the break, and use the half-piece(s) over the break. Closes the break and it's

quicker than reducing out the damaged area of tube, especially if the damaged tube is

close to another tube or if it's simply hard to dig out enough.
