Materials needed:

Bernat Pipsqueak yarn

Crochet Hook size I / 9

Scissors

Step 1 – Start of flower

Use yellow yarn Make a loop

around index and middle fingers

Create a Slip Stitch

Using hook, bring yarn through the loop.

This creates a slip stitch

Pull Slip Stitch Tight

Pull slip stitch tight onto hook

Create Chain Stitch

Use hook to grab yarn

Chain Stitch continued

Bring yarn through loop on hook – 1 chain stitch created

Continue Chain

Make 4 more chain stitches

Make a Circle

Put hook through first chain stitch made

Make a Circle continued

Hook yarn and bring through stitch on hook.

This creates a circle

Cut Yarn

Cut yellow yarn, leaving about 3 inches

Keep stitch last made on hook

Attach White Yarn

Keep last yellow stitch on hook

Make slip stitch with white yarn as directed in side 3, 4 and 5

Attach White Yarn continued

Bring white slip stitch through yellow stitch left on hook

Chain 5

Chain 5

Make First Petal

Put hook into middle of circle

Make First Petal continued

Pick up yarn with hook

Make First Petal continued

Bring loop through last stitch on hook

Tip: Clean Finish for Loose Ends

Capture loose ends in back of flower as petals are attached to the circle

Put hook through circle Keep loose ends along

top backside of circle Create slip stitch

around circle edge and loose ends

Make 5 More Petals

Crochet 5 more petals as directed for first

Cut Yarn

Cut yarn, leaving about 3 inches

Finish Flower

Pull end of yarn through last stitch on hook

Cut yellow yarn ends
