How to choose the best hostel
Weaver you are going travelling for a week, month or a year I am guessing hostels are going to be a big part in your trip. This makes it essential for
you to pick the best ones to make your journey even better. You may want
certain expectations from your hostel, so no matter what you are looking for there are certain tips you can use to
help you choose!
With the amount of hostels out there you would think finding a good one for the night would be easy; well that is
where you are wrong! You could always try asking any of your friends of
family who have been backpacking themselves and get guidance of them
from what they have already experienced.
Cheap is not always the better option. If you are going to invest in staying in a cheap hostel more than likely you will be faced with poor hygiene and
uncomfortable beds. If you pay just a little extra it will benefit you so much,
believe me you will thank yourself.
Check what breakfast services they offer, most hostels offer tea and toast
at 7am in the morning. Look for a place that offers much more of a filling breakfast and the times it’s available at. If you do consider the breakfast it not only fills you up more for your day ahead but it cuts down costs so you don’t feel the need to snack all day.
There should be security in place at the hostel for you. I would recommend checking where you can store any of
your belongings even if it’s just a standard locker. No hostel should make
you pay extra for this so make sure this comes free of charge. Wi-Fi is
always an added bonus and although it is not required for everyone it is still
nice to have that option.
Lastly I would recommend you actually checking the reviews of different places and compare them to one another. You should look at their
satisfaction ratings and not consider staying anyway below 80%. Wherever
you stay is always going to have its good and bad points but a traveller’s sleep is crucial, so spend a little more
and you will be highly grateful.
