How to Activate Your Resume on OhioMeansJobs

Step 1: Go to https://OhioMeansJobs.com

Step 2: Select “Backpack”.

Step 3: Login.

Step 4: Select “Manage Resumes” from the Backpack.

Step 5: Locate your Inactive resume and select the “Inactive” link.

Step 6: Change the selected radio button to “Active”. Once selected, two additional check boxes will be displayed.

Select the boxes based on your preferences.

Diversity Candidates - OhioMeansJobs is used by thousands of companies that recognize the benefits of workforce diversity. They are actively recruiting qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds including race, gender, 50+ workers, disability status, and lifestyle preference. By selecting the OhioMeansJobs and Diversity checkbox option you will make your resume public to employers searching the diversity and inclusion resume databases. You can change this setting at any time.

Confidential Resume - By selecting this, employers who are interested in your resume will still be able to contact you via a confidential OhioMeansJobs email address, but they will not be able to see the personal information that you have provided on this site. You can then view job listings and decide whether or not to respond. If you apply online, the information you've marked as confidential w ill be included so the employer can contact you. Note: If you choose to hide your contact information, current company, and references, you must also remove this information from your uploaded resume.

Step 7: Select “Update” to confirm your selections.

Step 8: Resume status is now Active and is searchable by Employers.
