The Arc of Monroe County offers a variety of services and programs that provide support to adults with developmental disabilities and mental retardation. The Arc offers: Day Programs-The Arc currently has 5 different day programs, Southwest, Fairport, E.Henrietta, Community Arts Connections, and Ballantyne . Our day programs provide a warm accepting environment that allows individuals with intellectual and/or other developmental disabilities to celebrate their unique gifts through recreation, community inclusion, and volunteer opportunities. Residential Services-The Arc provides a wide range of warm, caring residences that foster that sense of belonging that makes a house a home. Our residences are as diverse as the individuals in them. The residences provide an important social environment and offer a extent of recreational and vocational programs in the community. Residences are available to a wide variety of ages. A sense of independence and self-sufficiency is gained through the residential experience. Service Coordination- Is your link to success. The Service Coordinator connects individuals and their families to a wide range of services and activities. They assist with clinical services, waiver, health care, financial assistance, housing, employment, education, recreation, legal system management, transportation, self determination, crisis management and more. Vocational Services- Job Path: can assist individuals in finding jobs that best suits their interests and skill. Once an individual is matched with a job, Job Path provides job coaching. Arc Health Services-An Article 16 clinic certified by NYS OMRDD providing therapeutic, habilitative, clinical services including physical therapy, psychiatric care, counseling, psych evaluation and testing, vocational rehab, speech therapy, nutrition services, medical assessments.

Community Residential Habilitation-Provides customized assistance to individuals tailored to meet their needs. From personal hygiene and self care to assistance with social skills, household chores, grocery shopping and with keeping medical appointments.

Guardianship-The Arc assists families in planning alternative that enables parents, relatives or a corporate guardianship program to act on behalf of the individual. Legal Guardianship can only be appointed through the Monroe County Surrogate Court system.

Other Support Services-The Arc offers other support services such as Recreation Services, Special Sitters Program, and Family Reimbursement.
