As you pass-out, I can understand and appreciate the mixed feelings and emotional flux you would be passing through. Our mutual history parts as our journeys take us in new and different directions. I feel proud in contributing to times that have made this a good place for you.

You have achieved a lot throughout the journey- a journey from NO WHERE to NOW HERE. I am convinced that every passing out friend has an unending pool of talent and every passing out will leave their undefiled mark of success in whichever sphere of life they choose to work

and I hope that their hunger to do well for the benefit of the human race only increases with their success in life. I am so honored and pleased to have been a part of your story. I believe in you and I know that you are capable of amazing things. I wish you every joy and happiness. I

believe that goodbyes are definitely not the end. They just mean that you will be missed till we meet the next time. Will miss u all a lot.

Keep rocking and keep in touch. Best of luck for your future.Greetings

It was an honour to be a part of H7. I will cherish each and every moment I spent here. It was a great journey and I still can’t realise that these are my only few remaining days in the hostel and at IITB. Unforgettable incident would be to get elected as General Secretary in one of the tightest fought election. H7 was like a family to me. It will always remain closest to my heart. \7/

Some awesome years I have spent in this hostel. Wing, wing treats, wingies, friends, seniors, juniors, film GC, 7Up, Gala dinners, Valfi, Baddy, Foosball, poker nights, Mess ka khana, the discussions on the mess table. Some of the many things that have a special place in my memories.

I have stayed in this hostel for 4 years. There are so many memories. All the Sports GC, the hostel intra events, the regular football, cricket, basketball, TT, Carrom. All the memories of live Cricket matches, EPL, Champions league matches with hostel friends. All the valfis, Gala dinners and the Tea parties over the years. Is hostel me itna maza aaya ki ghati hone ke baavjood ghar jaana band ho gaya tha. H-7 Rocks!! Cheers to all the hostel mates for 4 amazing years.

Hostel-7 has always been my second home and i really enjoyed my time here. I think this is the hostel where we have best interactive environment with lots of informal events during the semesters. My best time in this hostel was when i played for Goonj consistently three times and especially when it was all on me to led hostel for the GC in my final year. Though we did not succeed to secure the 1st position (:P) but we tried our best and we really worked on it hard and I think winning or loosing was not the thing i was looking for but the time we spent together during jamming session and the way we got the good music out of that was something I enjoyed a lot. Those jamming sessions followed by heavy eating canteen sessions (:D) are going to be last in my memories of this hostel. And I really hope that one day this hostel will get through that GC and i will be able to rest in peace of mission accomplishment feeling...:P :D. A very best of luck to the coming music junta in the hostel..:)

“I consider myself fortunate enough to get such a wonderful hostel life in Hostel 7. I regret how quickly these 4 years have gone by. I really don’t wanna pass out. I wish I could just rewind the time and live it up again. I have learned a lot here so much so that I think I have grown up only in these 4 years. From all the things that I have done here, having best friends always available to me, doing a night out with them, Gala Dinner, Goonj, Movies and that Add making GC which was my first and last attempt to acting will be what I will miss the most. Also I will miss the food of Prabhakar (Mess) and Prabhakar (Canteen), Mukhri and Hally. I also want to apologize to Hostel Council for not doing the activities they believed I had the potential to. And lastly I will miss that thing probably because of which I am known to others in Hostel - Yes I will miss doing Gym here. With lots of Love in return, Zaman”

The best memory was when in second year we won ad making GC. Best part being that the whole team composed only of sophomores (except Paro). Watch the video on YouTube.

Playing mafia at midnight on wing 1 terrace on Yatish’s birthday; devouring pizzas at breakneck speed while standing with Kobra, Akshay and Ankush; using Kaka’s laptop to play linux games; identifying Jalan among the Chinese guys on his wall; standing around the wing 1 first floor cooler debating and discussing crazy stuff till early morning; Foosball matches with injured Torres in second year; the top left shelf and the broken buttons around the Christmas tree.

Spent the 4 most awesome years of my life here. The countless night-outs while playing cards with 10-12 of us packed in one room, the (often long) discussions on random topics with hostel mates while filling water at the cooler or eating at the canteen, playing Rise of Nations (RON) and AOE before LAN-ban (and after :P), the feeling we got when we slept only after having breakfast after a night-out - all will be missed!

“The best part of this hostel was the wing I have been in over the last 4 years. These people will stay with me for the rest of my life. They have become even more than family for me and it will remain that way for as long as I can see. I will never forget all the nightouts, the binge-drinking, the discussions and the absolute chaos that we caused in the wing. This hostel is the best hostel on campus, in that it has the best people with the best enthusiasm. Nothing anyone says will change that for me. \7/”

“Every moment spent here has contributed to develop a culture inside me. This I will carry for my entire life. That pressure of winning volley GC in order to win the Overall GC, that moment when I jumped to smash for the last point, that moment when we actually won it, that SCL moments, that SFL moments, this that what not! Hostel 7: You have made my life more happier and memorable! Thanks a lot..”

All the moments H7 gave me is special and unforgetful. The best moments were the ways in which the festivals are being celebrated. Top of which is Matki Phod. I was part of two matki phod during my stay and both the times i had a huge blast. I will certainly miss the festivals and activities of H7.

Hostel 7 will always live in my heart. Here I made some awesome friends and got to know more awesome juniors. The unforgettable experience would be the one where Hostel 7 lifted Sports GC trophy. The feel, the emotion of lifting the trophy and more importantly being involved in it, is very very hard to explain in words and I’ll relish these memories for the rest of my life.

Stay at Hostel 7 for me is not the best thing happened to me but certainly it is something I will remember for rest of my life. I was member of winning team (Manchester United) in SPL 1 but i didn’t play in single match. I advised friends who wanted to gain weight to eat Daal in the hostel mess.

H7. Possibly one of the few things I looked forward to in IITB whenever Icame back from weekends at home. The hostel had a particular charm thatdrew me on the first day itself, unlike most of the other hostels in campus. That charm didn’t fade over 3 years and I’m sure it won’t even when I return as an alumnus. I loved the open air feel of the hostel, its being near the lake, the good weather, and the canteen in the second and third years. And my friends from the hostel as well. Mosquitoes and Mess Food were unavoidable hazards, but I dealt with the first (and discontinued the other in the final months :) ). All in all, it was a soul-changing experience, not just a place to eat and sleep.I’m going to miss the hostel more than DC++, without which I could not have built my magnificent movie collection - that’s keeps for life.

Starting from 5 wing intros in sophie year till getting virtually raped on Valfi stage, the journey has been really mesmerizing. When I look back at my 2 years’ tenure in hostel maintenance council, I feel proud, mainly about 2 things - 1st being the long lasting infrastructural development that we undertook and 2nd being the interaction I had with hostel mates.I clearly remember words of an alumni from ‘87 batch, ‘10-20 years down the line, if you meet any random IIT B alumni, the 1st question you will ask is “which hostel?” It’s never about department or club or MI/TF. And if the hostel turns out to be same, then definitely you guys have of lot of things to talk and laugh about. ‘I really look forward to see you guys sharing similar experience to your juniors.Viva la H7! :)

“Hostel 7 is the most active hostel(after the freshie hostels) let it be sports or cultural activities as vouched by many friends of mine. I was really happy to be a resident here, best part being the location of my room from where the powai lake view is just amazing! :D A few incidents worth mentioning are: My fight to not to go to Bahubali and ending up in Tribals :D Winning the Sports Trophy and being involved in the sledging in the final Volleyball match against H3. Dancing for hostel was always fun let it by Gyrations, PAF or DJ night :)”

“The last few years have caused the most pleasant and remarkable changes in my life. This hostel was the most beautiful part of this change. This is not a palace or five-star hotel, but this is homely, functional and safe. There is an air of freshness, youth and energy. I learned a lot from my time here. I truly feel sorry for those who haven’t experienced the joyof living in a fun hostel environment. I lived with people from different backgrounds, cultures, traditions and ideologies. It was fantastic!! :D  At H-7 we were blessed with good food and understanding council.  I will never forget my cravings for “Masala Dosa” and “Veg frankie” for which I used to ditch breakfast and lunch to eat enough of these. :P *I don’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings by my views presented above. Love you H7!! :)”

“Stalling for days, now when I look for words to put my stay at Hostel 7 in a nutshell, complete roller-coaster ride flashes back. What an amazing 3 years of my life! H7 is the place where I actually grew up as a person. For me it was like going through the seven stages of life, right from infancy when we were sophomore to elderly when we’re graduating now. Have you ever wondered what’s so special about H7? Well, it’s the Psychopeople who live here. There was a semester when I tried to pin a song and a trait to every hostel-mate, neither of them was alike for two. Such Diversity in Psychos! That’s menacing and menace indeed we are for other hostels. 1st in Sports GC, 1st in PAF prod, 2nd in Gyrations and what not! H7 has risen from ashes and it’s the never give-up spirit of Psychos here which made it realizable. Let that spirit burning, people! “”Across seven seas, Beyond seven skies, Live the Psychos of seven, Gods in disguise.”””

“It was great experience living in this wonderful hostel. I was mostly involved in sports activities and I loved that. The only reason to participate in GC’s and other hostel sports activities was to spend time with our hostel which has always been a memorable experience. I will be very happy if coming batches also keep this hostel spirit alive. You can definitely improve also, there is lot of scope for that also. Time spend in this hostel will always be missed. love all counsel members and hostelmates. long live H7. :)”

I came to hostel 7 after immense efforts of swapping a room with a friend to be with my group here in hostel 7. It has been a very memorable journey ever since! I have had some of the best times, some of the rough times and some of the craziest times of my life here in hostel 7.  We may have made many adjustments in the room, during toilet constructions :P but it is these moments that I will recall and cherish for years to come. This place will always be close to my heart and I hope to be associated with my ‘home away from home’ for the rest of my life.

Hostel 7 has always been my second home. Best moment was Goonj during my second year. It was perhaps one of my most senti performances. PAF, Goonj, playing in carromboard GC for hostel, participating in tech GC competition with fellow hostelites and winning them; all these make my memories at H7 cherishable. H7 H7 \m/ \m/!
