Homework Project
As part of the topic ‘Revolution’, children in Y5/6 will be learning about many aspects about Victorian Era. They will look at the Industrial Revolution period and the impact of the Royal Family during this period.
For their homework project this term, we would like the children to design or make a Victorian outfit or recipe.
Below is a brief outline of what your child will be learning during this half term

Book: Street Child
Geography-Children will learn about the key trade links with in the Victorian Period. -They will create sketch maps of the North East including map symbols.-They will create an annotated sketch map of London and the places built in the Victorian Era. RE -Children will learn about significant individuals from across the globe and how they have influenced society. -Children will learn about significant figures in Christianity and their impact on the religion. -Children will research and present findings on key figures.

Things to remember: PE Monday and Tuesday – PE kit to be kept
in school all week (outdoor kit will be required)
Learn multiplication and division facts through Times Table Rock Stars.
Spellings - sent home on Friday to be learnt for test on the following Friday
Please listen to your child read 4 times per week. Reading records back on Friday please.
