Whenwemakeamistake,itsometimescanbeaprettybigone!However,wealsofeelanobligationtocorrectthatmistakewheneverpossible.Mistakesarealwayspossiblewhenhumanbeingsspeakwhere

theBibleissilent.Weareonlyhuman.Inthiscase,atleast,ourerrorwasonthesideofcaution.

WithmanyissuesinChristianapologetics,theissuesarestraightforward.IfareligionliketheMormonsor

Jehovah'sWitnessesdeniestheTrinity,thenweknowthattheyareoffbasebecausetheTrinityisso

apparentintheBible.

However,whenyougetintoareasthatdonotrelatetothefundamentalsofthefaith,andarenotclearly

dealtwithintheWordofYHWH,youcanrunintoproblems.

IthasbeeneightyearssinceIfirst(1991)puttogetherour"StraightTalk"onHomeopathy,andsince

thattime,IbelieveYHWHhasshownussomethingsthatweprayerfullyfeltweshouldsharesothat

you,asChristians,canmakeaninformedconsent.

In1991,the"StraightTalk"prettymuchcondemnedhomeopathyasanoccultpracticethatnoChristian

shouldengagein.Sincethattime,andthroughintensestudy,counsel,prayerandresearch,wehavecome

tochangeourmind.Butfirst,letusdefinewhatwearetalkingabout.Homeopathyisoneofawiderangeofholistichealingor"alternativemedicine"strategiesthathave

recently come to the fore. Naturopaths, Herbopaths, and Homeopathic healers have presented

themselvesasalternatives(oratleastcomplimentary)totraditionalMD's(called"allopaths")with

theirapproachoftreatingwithdrugs,surgeryorothertechnology.

Homeopathycomesfromtwowords.Theword"Homo"isrootedintheGreekwordforsimilarorthe

same.Forexample,HOMO-sexualsareattractedtotheSAMEsex. "Pathy" isrootedintheGreekfor

disease, liketheword "pathology." Thus, homeopathy is the concept of "likecuring like."Webster's

dictionarydefinesitinthisway:

[term]adopted(c.1800)bySamuelChristianHahnemann[Germanphysician],asystemofmedicaltreatmentbasedon thetheory that certaindiseases canbecuredbygiving very

smalldosesofdrugswhichinahealthypersonandinlargedoseswouldproducesymptomslikethoseofthedisease.(Seenote1)'

So, if Ihave a fever, I take aremedy that contains an incrediblyminutequantity ofa fever-producingsubstance.Thiswouldhealmeoratleastbringreliefofsymptomsaccordingtohomeopathictheory.

Let's broaden the scope foramoment, and thenwe canget into details Homeopathy is not exactlyNaturopathy.Weknow,becauseweareNaturopaths.Naturopathyisthepracticeofmedicinebynatural

means.Itisabroad-ranging fieldofhealingdisciplinesthat includevitamins,herbalism(givingpeopleherbsforhealing),colonictherapy,enzymes,massage,hydrotherapy,etc.

MywifespentmanyyearsasaNaturopathichealer,andIoftenassistedher.However,neitheroneofushadtheoccasiontostudymuchabouthomeopathy.

An Important Distinction in Healing

Thereis a fundamentalphilosophical differencebetweentheapproachesof allopaths (AMA doctors) and

Naturopathsandmostalternativehealingmethods(includinghomeopathy). It is thisthatweneed to

examinebeforewecanreallyunpackthewholeproblemofhomeopathy.

Forthousandsofyears,mostalldoctorsorhealersfromallculturesweareawareofbelievedinaconcept

knownas"Vitalism."Thiscomesfromtheword"vita"inLatin,meaninglife.TheessentialideabehindVitalismwastheideathatourCreatorYHWHputwithinlivingorganismsanaturaltendencytowardlife,

wholeness and balance. Youmight call it the soul, or youmight call it (asmodern scientists do)homeostasis.Vitalistshavebelievedthatallofcreatednatureincludingourbodyhastheinherent

abilitytoself-correcttomovetowardwellness.

This means that if you do something to a human body, certain incredibly complex mechanisms

immediatelymoveintoplaytobringthephysiologybackintobalance.Anexamplewouldbefainting.

Faintingisusuallycausedbyasuddenlossofbloodflowtothebrain.Thiscancomefromshock,froma

suddenblowtothehead,orevenfromstandinguptoofast.

Whenyou"feelfaint,"yourbodyhastheintelligencetoknowthatthebestthingtodoistogettheheaddowntothelowestplaceitcansothatbloodcanruntothebrain.Itshighestpriorityhastobetoprotect

andnourish thebrain.Soit "makes"youfalldown,even thoughwe call this"passingout"and it

frightensus,itisactuallyquitenatural.Thisiswhyapersonwho"feelsfaint"istoldtositdownat

onceandput theirheadbetweentheir legs.Itaccomplishesthe samethingandmaywardoff thefaintingspell.

Vitalistswereempirical,whichmeansthattheybelievedinobservingnature(i.e.thebody)andnoting

itsself-correctingactivities.This,theyfelt,wasthewaytobetterunderstandthebody.

A key idea in Vitalism was that you should do things when youarewell to maintain this

balanceandthiswouldmakeitlesslikelythatyouwouldgetsick.Forexample,thisisreflectedintheancientpracticeinChinaofpayingthedoctoraslongasyoustaywell,andthen-whenyou

becomeill you STOPpayinghimuntilyougetbetter.This is, ofcourse,yotallyopposite from

modernmedicine.

Today, somecall thistakingcareofthe balancewithin thebodyeither"prophylacticmedicine" or

"buildinguptheimmunesystem."Vitalistsviewedtheproblemofdiseaseasasignofanunderlying

imbalancesomewhereinthebodythatyourbodyistryingtocorrect,justlikethefainting.

Anotherexampleofthiswouldbeafever.Mostpeopledonotunderstandthatfeverisactuallyagoodthing.Whyshouldn'titbe?ItispartofthewayGoddesignedtheimmunesystem.Thebodyproducesa

feverwhentheimmunesystemsensesthattherearetoomanyforeignorganisms(germs,etc.)inthebloodstream.Itraisesthebody'stemperaturebecauseGodhassupplied thehumanimmunesystem

withtheunderstandingthatthehighertemperatureswillkilloffmostinvadingorganisms.

Thus,theVitalistobservesnatureandhelpsitinitscourse.TheyhavealwaysaskedWHYthingsare

happeningandthenacttoenhancethehealingforcesthatthehumanbodyalreadyhasbeengivenfrom

God.

ThebottomlinewithVitalismwasthebeliefintheinnateimpulsetowardlifeandbalanceinliving

thingsandthatthebestthingadoctorcoulddowassimplywhateverhecouldtofacilitatetheprocessof

healingthebodyisalreadydoing.TheVitalistpractitionerwouldsay,withHippocrates,"Idonotheal

anyone.OnlyYHWHcanheal."

Oddlyenough,thisHippocrates(apaganGreek(Seenote2))-asintheHippocraticoath(Seenote3)-is

felttobethe"father"ofmodern"mainstream"medicine.YethewasaVitalist.Heisalmostthe"patronsaint"oftheAmericanMedicalAssociation,andyettheAMAisonlynowbeginningtoBARELYcome

aroundtoHippocrates'wayofthinking.

The Mechanistic View

Ontheother hand,there is amedical philosophy thatis known as"Atomism."Atomism is radically

opposedtoVitalism.Ofcourse,weknowtheword"atom"asatiny,sub-molecularparticleofwhich

moleculesaremade.However,originally,theGreektermmeantthesmallestobjectpossible.Eventoday

weseethisinwordslike"atomizer"whichisasprayerthatreducesliquidslikeperfumestothetiniest

possiblespray.

Atomists(ledbyanotherGreekphilosophernamedDemocritus)believedthatthehumanbodyhad

nospiritualcomponentnorinnerintelligencebutthatitwasjustlikeplumbingoramachineofsorts.To

becertain, itwasawonderfullycomplexmachine,but itwasstillamachine.TheAtomistview,asbegunwithDemocritus,deniedanythingbeyondthematerialrealm.

Needlesstosay,themodernmainstreamdoctorstendtobeAtomists.Thoughtheywoulddon't

verbalizeitinthisway,theyessentiallyviewthemselvesasglorifiedplumbers!Lookattheir"Roto-

rooter"approachtothebody.Ifyourbloodvessels(pipes)arecloggedwithatheromaandyouhavehighbloodpressureorapluggedupartery,theyeithersendsometiny"Rotorooter"-likedeviceintothe

arteries to scourout the gunk, or they send in a balloon (angioplasty)which they inflate in theproblematicarteryandshovetheoffendingblockagestotheside-atleastforatime.(Seenote4)

Even the modern "wonder surgery" approach of the coronary bypass is essentially a plumbing

solution.Ofcourse,thismechanisticapproachworksverywellat thingslikefixingbrokenbonesor

removingbulletsfrompeople.MD'sare(orshouldbe)superbatsuchthings.

ButthedifferenceherebetweenVitalismandAtomismcouldnotbestronger.TheVitalist"plumber"

mightdosomethingofanherbalnaturetohelpoutthecloggingproblem,butheorshewouldalsowant

toknowthereasonWHYthedrains(arteries)aregettingclogged.Maybeitisbecausethehomeownerispouringrawbaconfatdownthepipes!Obviously,evenifyouunclogthepipes,iftheykeeppouringbacon

greasedownthepipes,theywilljustclogupagain.

Inasense,untilveryrecently,theAtomist-AMAapproachwasdisease-orsymptom-centered.Ifyouhad

aheadache,theygaveyouapilltomakethepaingoaway.Ifyouhavehighbloodpressure,theygive

youapillthatkeepsyourbrainfromsendingoutnerveimpulsesthatincreasethebloodpressure.Ifyou

haveabraintumor,theycutoutthetumor.Theywere,untiljustthelasttenorfifteenyearsorso,either

mystifiedorunconcernedwithWHYthepersonhashighbloodpressureorabraintumor.

Thus, while the Vitalist seeks to understand WHY things happen in nature, the Atomist is more

concernedwithcontrollingnaturewiththingslikesurgeryorantibiotics.

Oddlyenough, both surgeryand antibioticsarehighlydestructive tothe human immunesystem.

Surgerybreaksthebody'sownfirstlineofdefense,its"hermeticallysealed"skin.Ofcourse,inextremecasesitmaybenecessary.Antibioticskillbacteria,buttheyalsokillofbillionsofthe"friendly"bacteria

(Seenote5)inthestomachandgutthathelpthehumanbodystayaliveanddigestfoods,etc.Bothareakindof"devil'sbargain."

Obviously,thehomeopath,theherbalist,andmostotheralternativemedicinetypesaremoreintheVitalistcamp.AMAmedicineisonlyrecentlybeing"dragged,"kickingandscreaming,intotheideaof

preventativemedicine.Insteadofwaitinguntilsomethingisbrokenandthen fixing it;maybeifwetaughtthemgooddietprinciplesandhowtolivesoastooptimizetheimmunesystem,theywouldn't

get"broken"inthefirstplace.

Thinkofthewholecontroversyasthisparable:Therewasatownwhereastreetendedina

hugecliff.Often,driversandpedestrianswouldunknowinglydriveorwalkoffthecliffandend

up crashing a hundred feet below. The ALLOPATH Town Council voted and said that an

excellentteamofparamedicsshouldbeassignedatthebottomoftheclifftocartpeopleoffto

the hospital and fix them up set fractures, take care of concussions, etc. But the

NATUROPATHICminoritysaid,Wouldntitbecheaperandlesspainfultojustputupsigns

warningpeopleaboutthecliff?Butthetowncouncillaughedatthemandsaidtheirsolution

wastoosimplistic.So,peoplekeptdrivingoffthecliffandgettinghurt.ThenaturopathsdidwhattheycouldoutsideofficialchannelstowarneveryoneaboutthecliffAndtheambulance

companies,thehospitalsandthedoctorsgotrich!

Now,considerthisforamoment.WhichofthesetwophilosophicalsystemsaremoreBiblical?Itisnota

clearcall,butcertainlythematerialisticAtomist(whowoulddenyaspiritualcomponenttohealing)isnotinkeepingwiththeBiblicalworldviewofaCreatorWhoisintimatelyinvolvedinHiscreationand

Whoseinspiredwriterstellusthatcreationis"good"(Gen.1:31)and thatweare"fearfullyand

wonderfullymade."(Ps.139:14)

TheBibleconfirmsthatweareessentiallyspiritualbeingsfirstandforemost-thatmanwasmadeofthe

earthandhadYHWHsRuach(breathorspirit)breathedintohim.Thereupon,hebecamealivingsoul.

(Gen.2:7)Essentially, trueAtomistsmustbeDarwinianevolutionists.Otherwisetheywouldhave to

believe inandacknowledgetheexistenceofYHWHascreatorandadivineintelligencebehindthemaintainingofourbodies.

Our DilemmaNow,backtous.Whenpeoplestartedcontactingusaboutwhetherornothomeopathywasa

problem,we didn't have a answer. TheBible (obviously)nowhere says "Thoushaltnotuse

homeopathy."SincetherewasnoclearstatementfromtheBible,Iconsultedacoupleof"experts"in

medicineorspiritualwarfare.Theproblemwas(inretrospect),bothwereChristiansbutalsoMD'sand

thustheirtraininggavethemabuilt-inbiasagainstsomethingVitalistlikehomeopathy.

Oneofthepeoplewetalkedwithactuallytoldusthathomeopathicremedieswere"bottleddemons"

andthattheLordhadtoldherthis.Wewerefairlynewatthistypeofsubject(sinceneitherSharon

orIhadeverbeenhomeopaths),andsowetookheratherword.Ofcourse,thereisnotexactlyany

scripturalbasisforbottlingdemons,butwepassedonthat.

Onthestrengthofthesetwopersons'condemnationofhomeopathy,wementionedit inourbook,

BLOODONTHEDOORPOST,andwrotethe"StraightTalk."However,wewereabouttolearnthe

truthbehindthemaxim,"Foolsrushinwhereangels feartotread." In theyearssincethen,Ibegan

runningintosolidChristians-evenpastors-whodisagreedwiththatposition.Sharon,especially,feltthatthereshouldbemoreresearchdoneintothissubjectbeforewecontinuedtocondemnit.

So,inmysparetime,Ibegantoreallydigintothistopic.WhatIfoundamazedme.Homeopathyhas,in

oneformoranother,beenaroundforthousandsofyears(notthatthis,inandofitself,makesitallright).

EvenHahnemannacknowledgedthathejusthadre-discoveredit.Suchtoweringgiantsinthehistoryof

medicineasHippocratesandParacelcustaughttheprincipleof"likecureslike."Indeed,Hippocrates

wrote,in400B.C.,"Throughthelike,diseaseisproduced,andthroughtheapplicationofthelike,itiscured." (Seenote6)Additionally,I foundthat inEurope andtheUS,virtually all homeopathsare

medicaldoctors,withfullmedicalschooltraining.

Now,inouroriginalStraightTalk,wegavethefollowingguidelinesfordeterminingifahealingpracticewasallrightornot:

Guideline#1:AnythingwhichisspecificallyforbiddenintheHolyBibleshouldbedefinitelyavoided

like the plague. The most obvious such technique would be divination or fortune telling.

However,virtuallyallholisticor"alternative"methodologiesarenotmentionedspecificallyintheBible.Fortheseweneedotherguidelines.

(Asmentioned above,homeopathy isnotmentioned in the Bibleoneway or the other. Of

course,neitherischemotherapynorcardiacsurgery.)

Guideline#2:Weneedtoask:Canthisprocessortreatmentbetrackedscientificallyorisit

dependentuponvaguelydefined"energies"or"vitalspirits"whicheludescientificanalysis.

Wecanmeasurechemicallythechangesthattakeplacewhenapersontakesanaspirin.Ifthis

cannot be done with the healing technique, be careful. (We still stand by this statement.

However, recent scientific advances are examined below that may relate to homeopathy.

Homeopathsdoacknowledgethatthereisnoclearunderstandingofwhyitworks.Thatmaybecomingsoon,ormayalreadybeuponus.)

Guideline#3:A treatment that isscientificallyprovablewill (allotherthings beingequal)

work the sameway all the time.The essence ofscience is this repeatability. Ifyou cannot

writeupthestepstakeninthetreatmentandgivethemtoanotherscientistandhavehimrepeat the steps to produce the identical result, then what we are talking about is not

scientific,butsomethingofaspiritualnature.Thus,aspirinisadependableanalgesic.Itworks

the samewayalmostall the time.Thus,aspirineventhoughderived fromanherb(white

willowbark)isscientific.

(SincewritingtheoriginalStraightTalk,wehavelearnedthathomeopathyishighlyscientific,

bothinitsformulationandinitsapplication.Moreonthisinamoment.)

Guideline#4:Ifthetreatmentseemstobemorespiritualthanscientific,thentwoquestions

mustbeasked:

1) What worldview is reflected in the origin and practice of the treatmentChristian or

pagan?

2)Does the treatmentgive glory to the LordYahshua theMessiah (Jesus ChristsHebrew

name) and does it fall within Biblical precedents for healing? (Here is the question. Ishomeopathy spiritual? Is it "bottled demons?" Or is it just using a more subtle form of

interactingwithhumanphysiologythanmostofuscanunderstand?Thisisakeyquestion!)

Are There Deeper Forces at Work?ExaminingGuideline#2ingreaterdetail,wefindourselvestryingtounderstandwhysomethingassubtle

as homeopathyworks. Letus examine the way it isclaimed to work.Homeopathic remediesare

substantiallycomposedofdistilledwater,sugar,andoccasionallyalcohol.First,herbs,mineralsoreven

animalmaterialsofmedicinalpropertiesarefinelygroundandlefttosteepinasolutionofglucoseandwaterforaslongassixmonths.Everymonth,thismixturehastobeshakenviolently.Thisiskeytothe

successfulproductionoftheremedy(Seenote7)Thenthesolutionisfilteredandbottled,andthisisreferredtoasthe"MotherTincture."Thismaywellbetheonlypointinthepreparationinwhichany

herbalqualitiesarereleasedintothemixtureatall.

Theseremedies arethen prepared in potencieswhicharemeasured in either "X", "C" or "N." It is

importanttounderstandthatinHomeopathyitisbelievedthatthemoredilutedthepotencyis,the stronger the remedy is believed to be. The potency increases with each dilution. The

reasoningbehindthisbelief(whichwouldseemtobecontrarytocommonsense)isthateachtime

thesesolutionsarediluted,theyareshakenviolently.Thisisreleases"vitalenergy"intotheliquid.

Whatisthisenergyisneedscloserexamination.ItisbelievedbyHomeopathsthateveryplanthasitsown

vitalessence.ThisbringsusbacktotheconceptofVitalism- thatevery livingthinghas itsowninner

intelligenceprovidedbynature(orGod)tokeepitselfhealthyandbalanced.

Thisissomewhatliketheoccultworldviewofpantheismoranimism.Butthereisadifference.WeunderstandfromtheBiblethatsoulsaretheprincipleoflife(seeGen.2:7).Bearinginmindthelawof

firstmentioninBibleinterpretation,weseethatifsomethingisalive-plantoranimalorhuman-itmusthaveasoul.Wealsounderstandthatanimalsandpeoplehavespirits(Eccl.3:21)butthatthehumanspirit

isintendedtogoandbewithYHWHupondeath,andtheanimalspiritreturnstotheearth.

ThekeydifferencebetweentheBiblicalviewandpantheismandanimismisthatwiththelattertwo,

animalsandplantsareworshippedandregardedasdivine.TheBiblewarnsusagainsttheworshipof

creaturesratherthantheCreator(Rom.1:25).

Now,homeopathydoesnot,ofcourse,requiretheworshipofplantsoranimals;althoughtheremay

wellbehomeopathswhoarepantheists,justasthereareregularAMAMD'swhoarepantheists(Seenote

8).However,homeopathsdoseemtobelievethatthereisthisvitalenergyinthematerialsthatthey

dilutewhichremainsafterthedilutioniscompleted.IntheBiblicalsense,mightthisnotbethesoulor

lifeforceoftheplant?

Inanyevent,itisbelievedthatthisshakingofthemixturereleasesthevitalessenceorenergyoftheplantintothesolution.Thus,themoreitisshaken,themorepowerisreleasedintothesolution.

To produce a potency of "lX"which is too "weak" to be even dispensed in most casesthe

HomeopathwillputonedropoftheMotherTinctureintoavialcontaining9dropsofaneutralsolution

(waterandglucose)andshakeitvigorously.Tocreateapotencyof2X,theywouldtakeonedropofthelxpotencyanddiluteitwith9dropsofneutralfluidandthatisshaken,etc.

6Xpotencymeansthatyouhaveonedropoftheinitialsolutionpermilliondropsofwater!Thisprocess

iscalledSuccussedHighDilutions(SHD).Nowofcourse,bynowwithatinctureof1:1,000,000;itis

likely that thereis absolutelynothing leftof the initialherbalmixtureand this iswhat isdesired,becauseHomeopathsbelievethatitisthevitalessenceoftheplantthatactuallyeffectsthehealing!

12Xpotencywouldbelike1cubiccentimeter(cc)oftheMotherTincturein1billioncc'softheneutral

baseadilutionof1to1,000,000,000!Thatwouldbelike1teaspoonoftheherbalextractinatankthe

sizeoftheEmpireStateBuilding!30Xto1000XisproudlyproclaimedbyHomeopathstonotevenleave

ONEsinglemoleculeoftheoriginaltinctureintheremedy.

HomeopathshavewrittenthatSHD'sof10-70haveproduced"notedclinicalresponses."(Seenote9)Thatisaratioof1to1070(10followedbyseventyzeroes!)Nowitshouldbeevidenttoanysensiblepersonthat

suchadilutionwouldnothaveanythingleftoftheoriginalherb.

Now,Cpotenciesareoriginallydiluted1:99insteadof1:9.YouwillfindmanyHomeopathicremedies

atpotenciesofupto12C,thatisadilutionof1:1024!ThiswouldbetheequivalentofapinchofsaltinavolumeofwaterthesizeoftheAtlanticOcean!!Npotenciesarefirstdiluted1:99,thentoproducea1N

potency,the1:99dilutionisrepeated1000times!Apotencyofl0Nwouldberepeated10,000times.

Nowitshouldbeobviousthatyouarenotdrinkingsimpleherbsanymore.Inpointoffact,there

couldn'tpossiblybeanyherbsleftinthesemixtures.Instead,Homeopathsclaimthatvitalpowerfrom

thetinctureistransferredtotheremedythroughthe"potentiation"throughshakingthem.The"vital

spirit"issaidtocorrecttheimbalanceofthevitalforcewithinthepatient.Itisalmostasifthevital

"intelligence"withintheplantcantalkwiththevital"intelligence"withinthehumancellularstructureandbringrelief.(Seenote10)Homeopathsadmitthatthisdoesnotseemtomakesensetomostpeople.ThisiswhyIpersonally

struggledwithhomeopathyforyears.However,assciencebecomesmorecapableofmeasuringquantum

fieldsofenergy,allofsuddenitdoesn'tseemtobeasbizarreasitevendidadecadeago.

A Cautionary Note on Humility

Moreandmorescientificresearchisgivingvaliditytotheideaofvitalessencefromapurelymaterialistic

perspective.Itrecently(1985-97)appearsthattheremaybeascientificbasisforthisVitalisminactual

humanphysiology.ThepioneeringworkofDr.RobertBecker(Seenote11)(anMD)inthiscountryand

otherstudiesinAsia(Seenote12)indicatethattheremaybescientificreasonsfortheeffectivenessofsuch

formerlyexoticmethodsofhealingashomeopathyandacupuncture.Thevitalessenceofhomeopathy

(similartowhatiscalledChiinChinesemedicine)mayactuallybescientific.

Thus,wemustproceedwithhumilityandnotassumethatwesternscienceistheonlywaytogo.The

humanbodyisamazinglycomplex(Ps.139:14),beyondanyhuman'sunderstanding.Itispossible

agenerationagoarenowpass.InthedaysofGeorgeWashington,medicaldoctorswerestill"bleed-

ing"people(Seenote13)andputtingmercury(Seenote14)(aHIGHLYtoxicmetal)onthemorinthemtocuredisease.Infact,thisishowourfirstpresidentdiedfrombeing"bled"byhisdoctorand

givenmercury.Washingtonwasessentiallymurderedbythedoctorsofhisday.

Agenerationago,doctorsdeniedthatdiethadanythingtodowithcancer.Nowsomeofthemunderstandaboutanti-oxidantsandelementslikebeta-carotene.TheChinesemayhavediscoveredsomethingsin

medicine(likeChiandacupuncture)thatwemissed.

Fromtheothersideofthespectrum,wehavetheastonishing(andbewildering)discoveriesofmodern

quantumphysics.QuantumphysicshaswrittenanironicobituarytotheAtomists'wayofthinking.Asweenteredthe"atomicage,"inthepost-warperiod,weweretaughtinschoolthatatoms(nolonger

the tiniest elements known to science) consisted of protons, neutronsand electronsand thatnothingwassmallerthanthis.

Adecadelaterwestartedhearingaboutsub-atomicparticleslikemesons,bosons,andleptons.Suchexotic

varietiesofsub-atomicparticlesasneutrinosand"charmquarks"wererevealed.Quantumsciencebegan

todiscoverthatthethinneryouslicedtheuniverse,themoremystifyingitbecame.

Withoutwishingtogetintoafull-blowndiscussionofquantumphysics,letitjustbesaidthatthebottom

matteraswethinkofit.

Strangestofall,physicistsarenowtellingusthatifyoureallybreakdownthe"solidity"ofthechairin

whichIamsitting,itisreallynothingbutenergy-becauseultimatelyallthesesub-atomicparticlesofwhichthechairconsistsaresimplyenergy.Ofcourse,thisisnotasurprisetotheHolySpirit.Heis

alwaysatleast2000yearsaheadofthescientists.ThatiswhyHeinspiredtheauthorofHebrewstowrite:

ThroughfaithweunderstandthattheworldswereframedbythewordofGod,sothatthings

whichareseenwerenotmadeofthingswhichdoappear.Hebr.11:3

These incredibly tiny doses of homeopathic remedies maywell anearly forerunner of a kind of

"quantummedicine."Thoughtheyaresub-molecularinnature,perhapstheyareallthemorepowerful

forbeingabletoactatthequantumlevel.Remember, itjusttakesaninfinitesimallysmallamountof

plutonium tocreateahydrogenbombblastthatwould levelacity.Perhapsthesamekindof sub-

moleculardynamicisatworkinhomeopathy.

Realize,ifyouwouldhavetakenatypicalscientist(Christianornot)ahundredyearsagoandtoldhimthatbysmashingtwotinypiecesofrock togetheryoucouldcreateanuclear fissionexplosion that

Ourfuturemedicinewillproceedtowardthedevelopmentoftechniquesandtreatmentsthat

usesuccessivelyfinerandfinerenergies...1nmymodeling,homeopathicremediestreatat

theethericlevelofsubstance["ethericmeaningnotdirectlyobservableviaphysicalsensesor instruments.]Since thismethodoftreatment isalready inuseandeasy topractice, I

evidenceisnotin.

Hereiswherewereallyfellshortofthemarkinouroriginalefforts.Dependingontheopinionsofour

AMAdoctorfriends,wetooktheirwordthattherewas,indeed,noscientificevidenceofrepeatabilityin

homeopathy.Infact,welaterfoundthattheexactoppositewastrue.

Inreality,theentirebasisforhomeopathyisbasedonempiricaldata-whathomeopathscallthe "Lawof

Proving." The homeopathic concept of "like cures like" emerged through testing. Originally, Dr.

Hahnemann(1755-1843)wasintriguedbywhythedrugquininecuredmalaria.Atthetime,medicinehadallsortsoftheories,butnoproof.

ItoccurredtoHahnemannasahypothesisthatperhapsquininecuredmalariabecauseitproducedthe

sameeffectsasmalariainahealthyperson.Hetestedthisonhimself.Sincehedidnothavemalaria,he

tookquininetoseewhateffectitwouldhaveonhim.Amazingly,itproducedallthesymptomsofmalariainhisbody.Now,Hahnemannwasenoughofascientisttorealizethatoneexperimentdoesnotprovean

hypothesis-especiallywhenthe"testsubject"isthescientistwhowantstoprovethehypothesistobe

valid.Heunderstoodtheplaceboeffect.

Thus,Hahnemannwentoutandfoundmanyfriendsandstudentsandbegantestinginearnest.This

wasthegenesisofthe"LawofProving."Formorethan150years,allhomeopathicremedieshavecomethroughthisprovingprocess.Indoubleblind,scientificstudies(thesamewaypharmaceuticaldrugs

aretested),apossibleremedyisgiventolargenumbersofhealthypeople.Ifitproducedthesymptomsregularlyandrepeatedly,itwasaddedtothehomeopathicMATERIAMEDICA.

Inallmyresearch, itwasclaimedthathomeopathicremediesworkaswell (ifnotbetter)andasconsistently as any pharmaceutical compound in the area of pathologies where they have been

proven.ButIwasstillnotconvinced.Iknewthepowerofthehumanmind,andtheplaceboeffect.(Seenote16)Perhaps itwasjustworkingbecauseallthesepeoplebelieveditwouldwork.I kept

researchingandprayingfortheLordtoguideme.

A Divine Appointment?

OnatriptoMilwaukeenotafewweekslater,SharonandIencounteredaveryinterestingcouple.They

wereabitolderthanusandhadbeenBible-believingmissionariesformanyyears.Hewasalsoadoctorofveterinarymedicine.TheywerebackinthestatesafteranextendedmissionarytourinSouthAmerica.

Whenhegavemehiscard,myeyesnearlybuggedoutofmyhead.Thisbrotherwasa"holistic"

veterinarianwhousedhomeopathyonanimals!

Thecouplewaskindenoughtohavelunchwithusandwepliedhimwithquestions.Hereportedtomethatinhisyearsofpractice,homeopathyhadworkedinhundredsofanimalcases-inthesamewayasit

workedonhumans.Healsosaidthatinhisopinion,itwasaperfectlysoundmedicalpracticeandhadnothingtodowiththeoccult.

Ofcourse,animalsareagoodtestagainsttheplaceboeffect,becausetheycannotbelieveintheremedy

theyarebeinggiven.Thisvettoldmethatallanimalsfromhorsesdowntodogs,catsandevenbirds

werehelpedimmenselybyhomeopathicremedies.Additionally,unlikepharmaceuticaldrugs(both

forhumansandanimals),homeopathiccompoundshavenosideeffectsandcannotbeoverdosed(atleast

inanykindofharmfulway).

Torefutetheclaimthatthereistoosmallanamountofplantmaterialinthehomeopathicremediestoaffectanyone,hetoldmeaboutafriendwhohadatoddler.Thelittletykemanagedtogethishandsonabottleof

homeopathictincturebasedprimarilyonaMotherTinctureofpoisonivy.

The child unknowingly chugged down the entire bottle. Even though there were no serious

consequences for the child taking dozens of times the recommended dosage, an interesting thinghappened.Hebrokeoutinaclassicpoisonivyrash!Andhewastooyoungtoevenbeabletoreadthe

labelandknowwhat,infact,hewasswallowing.

Thismissionaryvet laughedattheideaofdemonsina bottleandsuggestedItestthesethingsout

myself.Iprayedaboutit,anddecidedtogiveitatry.

Iacquiredsomehomeopathicremediesforacoupleofminorcomplaintssufferedinourfamily.The

firstthingIdidwasprayoverthemjustasweprayovereverythingwebringintoourhouse-binding

anydemonspiritsinthenameofYahshuaandcoveringtheminthebloodoftheLamb.

Then,thenexttimeweneededsomeremedy,insteadofherbs,wetriedthehomeopathicstuff.Itworked,and itworkedwell,anditworkedcontinually.Idonotthinkitcouldhavebeendemonicbecausewe

prayedandaskedtheAlmightytoremoveanydemons.Iamnotevencertainthatdemonscouldbebottled(?).Let'snotgivethedeviltoomuchcredit. Examining Homeopathy in the Light of

Guideline #4Inourpersonalcase,andin thepersonalcasesofa coupleofotherChristianswithwhomwehave

fellowshipped,itseemedasthoughhomeopathypassedthetestofGuideline#3withflyingcolors.Itwasrepeatable,andasdependableandscientificasanypharmaceuticaldrug;withtheaddedbenefitofno

sideeffects.ButwhataboutGuideline#4?Herewedorunintoalittletrouble.Hahnemann,themanwho

developedHomeopathy,wasalsoaFreemasonandgaveclearevidenceoftotallyrejectingYahshua.In

fact,hisofficialbiographerwrites:(Seenote17)

[Hahnemann]...tookoffenseatthearch-enthusiastJesusofNazareth, themanofsorrowswho took the darknessoftheworlduponhimselfwas anoffense tothelover ofetheric

wisdom.

Now,this"ethericwisdom"isareferencetoesotericoroccultwisdom.ItisNOTthewisdomofthe

Bible.That shouldbeevidentbythefactthatHahnemann,asitsdevotee,rejectedJesus.NoonewhorejectsYahshuacanhavetruewisdom(Ps.111:10,Prov.1:7,Prov.9:10.Prov.15:33).Thiswisdomisrather thewisdomofwhich Jameswrites: (3:15) "Thiswisdomdescendeth not from above, but is

earthly,sensual,devilish."TheWisdommentionedinProverbs8isactuallyapersonificationofthepreexistentYahshua;andthismaledictionendsthechapter,talkingabout"Wisdom"asYahshua:

Forwhosofindethmefindethlife,andshallobtainfavouroftheLORD.Buthethatsinneth

againstmewrongethhisownsoul:alltheythathatemelovedeath.Prov.8:35-36

wisdom"andyetrejectsthesourceofallwisdom.Additionally,THEORGANONOFTHERATIONALARTOFHEALING,Hahnemann'sbook,the"bible"ofHomeopathy,hasthesymbolsofFreemasonry

onthefrontispiece!

Now,allthiswouldmakeusfleefromhomeopathyliketheplague IFitwereaspiritualhealingsystem.

However,itdoesnotappeartobespiritual.Ifitwas,itwouldhavebeenstoppedbyprayingagainstevilspiritsinYahshuasname.Atthispoint,wedonotbelievethatthereismuchevidencethatitisanything

more than a fairly sophisticatedmethod ofalternativehealing.However,what about Hahnemann's

religiousweirdness?

Well,obviouslyitisunfortunatethatthefounderofHomeopathywasanunsaveddoltwhorejectedthe

Messiah.However,doweknowwhatfaiththedoctorwhoinventedbrainsurgerywas?Howaboutthe

doctorwhoinventedchemotherapy?

TherearecertainlyChristianMD'sandChristianhomeopaths,justastherearepaganorNewAgeMD's

(likethefamousDeepakChopra,whoisaboard-certifiedendocrinologist)andNewAgehomeopaths.

However,ifthesystemofmedicineworks,doesitreallymatterwhatfaiththedoctoris?WhenIhadmykidneystonecrisisbackin1992,Ididn'tchecktoseeifmyurologistwasBornAgain.Ijustwantedto

knowifheknewhisstuff!

AsfarastheMasonicsymbolonthebook,well,thenyouhadbetterstayawayfromallhospitalsand

ambulances.ThefamoussymbolofbothmedicineandEmergencyMedicalTechsisthepaganCaduceus

(seeillustrationbelow),whichisthestaffofthegodHermes!ItisjustaspaganastheMasons.Thereare

thousandsofAMAdoctorswhoareFreemasons,butitdoesn'tkeepthemfromdoingwellatremovingtumorsorfixingbrokenlegs.(IpersonallywouldrathernothaveaFreemasonoperateonme,because

theydon'tlikemeverymuchsinceIwroteMASONRYBEYONDTHELIGHT!!)

Tobecertain,ifIhadmychoice,IwouldratherseeaChristianphysician-butinthesedaysofmanagedcareandHMO's,youdon'tgetmuchofachoice.IfIweretogotoahomeopathicMD,atleastIcould

chooseifthepersonwasaChristianornotandmakethatchoicefreely. Conclusions

Thisisbynomeansaclosedissue.Afteralotofresearchandprayer,wehavedecidedtocomeoutwith

ourconclusionsonthisissue.Theyarebasedonthebestinformationthatwehaveatthistime.Itseemstousthathomeopathyisbasedonasubtleformofwhatisnowcalled"energymedicine"thatworksatthe

sub-molecularlevelofthehumanbody.Itsvalidityseemstobeincreasinglysupportedbydiscoveriesbothinmedicineandinphysics.Itisinterestingthatahandfulofhomeopathicremedieshavesurvivedinto

modernAMAmedicine.Didyouknowthatthetinynitroglycerinetabletsthatcardiacpatientstake

wereoriginallyhomeopathicremedies?Infact,currently,morethan50%ofU.S.medicalschoolsnowoffercoursesinalternativemedicineslikehomeopathy.(Seenote18)

Tothebestofoursatisfaction,itisscientificandrepeatable.Itisfasterandmoreeffectivethanmany

herbsandoverthecountermedicationsthatmembersofourfamilytake;andthisisafterithasbeen

prayedoverandreceivedwiththanksgivinginthenameoftheLordYahshua.(1Tim.4:4)

Ofcourse,Hahnemann'soccultrootsareproblematic;butaslongastheactionoftheremediesisbasedona

non-spiritualfoundation,Iwouldnotnecessarilyletthatstopmefromusingtheremedies.Thatwould

beasillogicalasrefusingtogrowhybridcornbecausehybridizingplantswasdiscoveredbyamonkor

refusingtobelieveinmodernastronomybecauseGalileowasCatholic.(Seenote19)

Still,thisiswhatwehavedetermined.Youmaydecidesomethingdifferent.Ifnothingelse,thishas

taughtushumility.IcertainlyapologizeifeitheroftheseStraightTalkshavecausedyouanydistressorinconvenience.WedotakeourobligationasteacherswithintheBodyofMessiahveryseriously.

Wedidnotwritethisrevisionuntilanawfullotofprayer,fastingandresearch.

However,inanarealikethiswherethereisnoclearBibleteaching,itisuptoeachindividualBelieverto

prayandseektheHolySpiritaboutwhattheyshoulddo.Therearedefiniteadvantagestohomeopathicremediesoverotherover-the-counterremedies.Theyseemtobecompletelysafeandnon-toxicand

havenosideeffects.Additionally,theyappeartoberemarkablyeffective.However,perhapsyour

spiritualconcernsmayoutweighthoseadvantages.

Itdoesneedtobementionedthatespeciallyinthisdayandage,youneedtobeverycarefulaboutall

these"miracle"prescriptiondrugslikeClearatin,ProzacorViagra.Thesethingsareexpensiveand

havenumeroussideeffects;andinmanycasestheyaredangerous.Inmyhumble(Iamnotadoctor)

opinion,theyaremoredangerousbyfarthanhomeopathyorherbalremedies.

Manydrugsworkeitherbymaskingsymptomsorelsebyinterdictingsomenaturalbodilyprocessthat

yourheaven-givenphysiologyistryingtousetocorrectanimbalance.Withallofthesethings,endeavorto beaninformedconsumerand don'tjust trusteverything someone tellsyou(includingmeora

doctor!).Checkthesethingsoutforyourselfandtakeresponsibilityforyourownhealth.

Itisnotthedoctor'sbody,itisyours(andultimately)Yahshuas.Beforeyoutryanything,prayforHimto

healyou!ToomanyBelieversarequicktoreachfortheaspirinwhentheyshouldbereachingforthethroneofgrace.YHWHstillhealssovereignlyandmiraculously,andIamlivingproofofthat!Praise
