Congratulating Chris Riedl on receiving the Resurrection Merit Award
Chris Reidl received the 2018 Resurrection Merit Award from Holy Trinity, during the Resurrection Gala, held on September 23. Father Rafal presented the award to Chris on September 30 after Mass. Here is the nomination letter for her award…
Chris Riedl has been a member of Holy Trinity Parish in Westmont since 2003. Chris and her husband, Steve, have been amazing examples of the criteria that the Merit award recognizes. Chris has been on the School Board since September of 2014 and is the current president. Her son, Jack, graduated from Holy Trinity School and is currently attending Villanova University. Her younger son, Jason, is a seventh grader at the school. Chris and her family very generously contribute their time, talent and treasure.
In addition to School Board responsibilities, she actively participates in the leadership of the largest fundraising
event, the School Gala, and she recently accepted a role in our Capital Campaign to raise money to build a Parish
Center so the church can make “Room for All.” This is in addition to serving as a Eucharistic Minister and helping
in so many ministries in the parish.
Chris recently retired from a very successful career in the insurance industry involving project management and
product development. Currently, Chris is training to be a court-appointed advocate for abused and neglected children.
Chris is receiving this award in honor of her dedication to our community at Holy Trinity Parish administered by the Congregation of the
Resurrection as we work and pray together to build up the Kingdom of God. Thank you and Congratulations, Christine!

Adoration Chapel O Sacred Heart of Jesus, as I look upon You in the Blessed Sacrament, I place myself in Your pierced Heart. I am humbled by Your steadfast love for me and for all mankind. I come seeking rest and refuge from a hurting world whose values and principles are in opposition to Your Word.
Nourish, encourage and strengthen me as I continue my earthly journey. Stamp and seal my heart with the knowledge that I am a beloved child of God and that I truly belong ONLY to You. Forgive me my faults and teach me to forgive others for this is when I most resemble You.
May my heart be forged with the same fire of love for mankind that burns in Your Most Sacred Heart so that I might be an effective instrument in bringing souls to You; especially those whom You have placed in my path and that I have a special love for.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, it is good that I am here!

Thursday at 2am and 8am

October is World Mission Month
Throughout October, we’ll be celebrating the Church’s mission and the work of missionaries, leading up to the celebration of World Mission Sunday (October 21).
In two weeks, we will celebrate World Mission Sunday. Pope Francis invites the entire Church to support the mission dioceses in Africa, Asia, and the Pacific Islands, and parts of the Latin America and Europe, where priest, religious and lay leaders serve the world's most vulnerable communities. Please keep in the Pope’s mission in your prayers, and be generous in the upcoming collection of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith.
