STEWARDSHIP THOUGHT

One miracle of Pentecost was that, despite their diversity, each listener heard God’s word in his or her own language. The meaning for stewardship is that, by sharing the gifts poured out on us by the Holy Spirit, we will be empowered to meet the needs of our brothers and sisters, whatever they may be.

2019 ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL

Our parish has received pledges totaling $102,842 towards our goal of $127,566. Thank you to the 279 families who have responded to the needs of over 60 ministries and services of the Annual Catholic Appeal. With your commitment we can accomplish all that needs to be done. Please return your pledge envelope as soon as possible. You can send it directly to the archdiocese, donate online or drop it in the collection baskets. God Bless your support!

HOLY TRINITY PRAYER CORNER

Spirit of God, grant me: The gift of wisdom

to see the world through your eyes, The gift of counsel to make

difficult decisions, The gifts of knowledge and understanding

to use my mind to know you and to love you,

The gift of fortitude to have the courage to live in the faith despite the

difficulties and disappointments, The gift of piety to be able to express my special love and commitment to you, and the right kind of awesome fear that makes me pause to wonder and revere God’s Love.

Amen.

JUNE 9, 2019

From today’s Gospel reading: And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind and it filled the entire house where they were.

Reflection: Pentecost reminds us we never can be sure how, or in whom, the Spirit will work. The feast cautions us to keep ears and eyes open lest we miss what new life the Spirit is breathing into us.

So, we ask ourselves: -What blocks do I put up to resist the change the Spirit might want to bring about in my life? - Have I ever been surprised by the Spirit?

50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION FOR FR DENNIS SEVILLA
