TheGloriousQuraanactuallycallssuchplacesasSHAIRALLAAH(SIGNSOFALLAAHTOBEVENERATED).Therearemanyverses

andauthenticAhadithwhichprovethatsacredplacesshouldberespected.

AlBaqrah:Chapter2Verse:58{AndrememberWeSaid:Enterthistownandeatoftheplentythereinasyewishandenterthe

gateprostratingandsay:Forgive (us),Wewill forgiveyou,your faultsand increase (theportionof) thosewhodogood};and

Verse:125{Take the standing place of Ibrahimas a place of prayer.}.

Verse: 158{Behold, the Safa and Marwaare the symbols of Allaah. So whoever visits to perform Hajj or Umrah, there is no blameon him for walking between them.}.

to

and

said,

Allah's

Apostle!

Ihave

lost

my

eyesight

and

Ilead

my

people

in

theprayer(asanImam).Whenitrains,thevalleywhichisbetweenmeandmypeople,flowswithwater,andthenIcannotgoto

theirmosquetoleadthemintheprayer.OAllah'sApostle!IwishthatyoucouldcomeandprayinmyhousesothatImaytakeit

asaprayingplace.TheProphetsaid,"Allahwilling,Iwilldothat."Thenextmorning,soonafterthesunhadrisen,Allah'sApostle

camewithAbuBakr(r.a).TheProphet(saw)askedforthepermissiontoenterandIadmittedhim.TheProphet(saw)hadnotsat

tillhehadenteredthehouseandsaidtome,"Wheredoyoulikemetoprayinyourhouse?"Ipointedataplaceinmyhouse

whereupon he stood and said, "Allaahu Akbar." We lined behind him and he prayed two Rakat and finished it with

Taslim.. (This masjid was demolished by present regime, located near Jumaa Masjid. Earlier famous Khalifa Umar ibn

AbdulAzizwasrenovatedit)

Hadith:3:NarratedfromShaddad ibnAwsbyalBazzar,AbuYala,andTabarani.Haythamisaid inMajmaalZawaid(1:47).Its

Likethiswemustknowthatourfivetimesprayersaresignifiestocertainthings.Actuallywearecelebratingandremembering

those incidentsasour fivetimeprayers.Fajr:ProphetAdamsTawbawasaccepted inthemorningtime, forthisheoffered2

RakatNaflthanksgivingpayerstoAllaahand itbecameFajrprayer.Dhuhar:ProphetIbrahimoffered4RakatNaflthanksgiving

prayerforhissonIshaquebirthatnoontimeanditbecameDhuhar.Asr:Uzairperformedthanksgiving4RakatNaflaferrebirth

of100years,and itwasmadeforusAsr.Surah:AlBaqraVerse:259.ButAllaahcausedhimtodiefor100years,thenraised

himup(again)..Maghrib:Aiyyub(A.S)wasofferingthanksgivingprayerforhiscureatMaghribtime,willingtopray4Nafl

butcouldntgetupforfourthrakatduetohisweakness,itbecameMaghrib.Isha:Yunus(A.S)offered4RakatthanksgivingNafl

prayeratthattimewhenhecomesoutfromtheWhalesbellyafter40days.AllaahmadethisIshaforus.ImamTahawi:Sharaial

MaanialAasar:KitabusSalatVol1No:1014. ActuallythesearecelebrationsforcertainthingsanditbecameFardhforus.

Allaahmadeustowear2whitepuresheetsasIhramduringHajj,becauseitistheclothofourProphetIbrahim(A.S).

HajjalsoitisaremembranceofAdamandHawwa(A.S)meetingpointinJabalArafaafterrecognizingeachother.ArafainArabic

meansknowingeachother.WithoutreachingArafaourHajjnevercompletedwhetheryouprayornot,doZikrornot,butjust

youhappenedtobethereforasecond.Wearedoingcelebrationsbyrememberingthisincident.

WearecelebratingIsmail(A.S)byrememberinghimstoningthepillarsatMina.

Allaah abolished idol worship (made of stones), Prophet (saw) removed 360 stone idols from Kaaba leaving two stones. i.e:

Aswadh).

was

previouslyneartheKaabahwallanditwasmovedbyUmarbinKhattab(r.a)tothispresentposition.

BEERALKHAATAMsite:TherewasaringforProphet(saw),whichwastakenbyAbuBakrSiddique(r.a)whenhebecamethe1st

Caliph.UmarIbnAlKhattab(r.a)tooktheringwhenhewaschosenasthe2ndCaliph,&similarly,itwasforUsman(r.a)afterhe

waschosen

as

the

3rd

Caliph.

It

is

narrated

that

Prophet

(saw)

once

sat

on

the

edge

of

the

well

with

his

feet

dangled

inside;

water

wasjumpingand touchinghis feetandalsoperformedwodhuwith itswater.To follow theSunnahonedayUsman (r.a)was

sittingthesameplaceandsameway;allofasudden,theringfellfromhishandintothewell.Sahabahtriedtofindtheringfor3

daysremovingallthewater,but itwasneverfound.SomeUlamaasaythat itwasthesignforFitnahswhichbeganafterthat

instance & Usman (r.a) died as a martyr. Well was in the west of Masjid Quba. Beer Khaatam was demolished during the

expansionsofQUBA&nowitslocationisthewaterspring.

Thisistheplace(AdjacenttoQubamasjid)wherethecamelofProphet(saw)QaswasatonhisHijraisnowattachedtoMasjide

Quba.SaudiGovernmenthascreatedaSabeel(Placetodrinkwater)attheexactpositionwheretheQaswasatnearthePalm

tree.

JUMAAMASJID inMadinah,thefirstJumaaMasjid in Islam.WhilegoingtoMadinahProphet(saw)afterspending14days in

Quba,ontherequestofBanuSalimbinAuf,Prophet(saw)dismountedfromhiscamelQaswaatthisplaceofferedfirstJumaa

treasuresoftheearth,orthekeysoftheearth.Andverily,Idonotfearthatyouwillcommitpolytheism(SHIRK)afterme.ButI

verilyfearyouwilldisputewithoneanotherinit(i.e.theworld).Bukhari::Book2::Volume23::Hadith428.OurRasool

Muslims,whowerepreoccupiedwiththebooty.AbdullahbinJubair(r.a)wasmartyredonthespotgivingtoughfightandother

Yazidarmyplunderedandkilled inhabitantsofthecity.WhenevertheProphet(saw)usedtovisitthegraveofHamza(r.a)and

theothermartyrsofUhud,hetakeresthere.

SHAIKHAINMASJID issituatednearSayyidAlShuhadaRoad,southofMasjidMustarah.Afterperforming Jumaaprayerwhile

goingtoGhazwaUhudProphet(saw),spentonenightandofferedAsr,Maghrib,Isha&FajrPrayershere,arrangedhisforcesand

sentbacktheJewsforceandyoungerSahabahbelowage15.TheChiefofthehypocrites,AbdullaahibnUbaydecidedtheyhave

toturnbackwith300,thusdeprivingtheMuslimsof1/3oftheirnumber.Whatabeautifulholysite

RAAYAorMasjidDhubaab:AflagwasraisedasasignalforJihadandaKhaimah(tent)orQubbahwasbuiltforProphet(saw)

overasmall

mountain

(called

Dhubaab),

from

where

he

could

see

the

Sahabah

digging

the

trench.

And

near

the

Qubbah,

ahuge

veryhardrockwasdiscoveredwhichwasbrokenintopiecesstrikingbyProphet(saw)threetimes.Therewasaflashoflightwith

eachstrikeandhesmiledeverytimeandsaidwiththefirstoneAllaahhasgrantedmeSyria,Icanseeitsredpalacesnow.With

thesecond,IhavebeengiventhekeystoPersia,IcanseethewhitepalaceofalMadain,andwiththethirdIhavebeengiventhe

keystoYemen,IcannowseethegatesofSanaafrommyplacehere.TheplacewaspreservedbyfamousKhalifaUmarBinAbdul

Aziz(born in63hijri)&builtaMasjid(duringtheyears8793Hijrah),whichwasrenovatedagain intheyear845Hijrah. It isa

beautifulsmallMasjiduponatinyhill,hiddenbetweenotherbuildings;youhavetogoupbystairs.LocatedinbetweenAbuBakr

SiddiqueandUsmanbinAffaanroadonrighthandside.Latersomeyearsbackwhilediggingforconstructionofhousespeople

foundfreshbodiesoftwoSahabahinthesamelocality.DonotmissthisMasjidwhenyouhappenedtobeinHolyMadinah.

ABUDHARRGHIFFARIMasjid (r.a) in Madinah is on the northern side of Masjid Nabwi. Another name for this Masjid is As

SajdahforithasbeenreportedbyAbdulRahmanibnAuf(r.a)that,whilesleepingProphet(saw)suddenlywentthroughBaqee

Muttasarah gate, reached a place and I also followed him. Prophet (saw) made wodhu prayed 2 Rakah and did Sajdah

(prostrated)foralongperiodoftimethere,afterliftinghisheadonseeingme,gavethegladtidingsthatGabriel(a.s)camewith

amessagefromAllaah:WhoseversendsDaroodandSalaam(peaceandblessings)uponyou,thenAllaahshallshowerhismercy

uponsuchaperson.Asappreciationforthisbounty,ImadelongSajdahtoAllaah.

EJABAHMasjidinMadinah:Prophet(saw)prayedinBanuMuawiyamosque,near2feetonrightsideofMihrab.Itisnarratedin

SahihMuslimKitabalFitanBook41,Number6906: 'Amirb.Sa'dreportedontheauthorityofhis fatherthatonedayAllah's

Rasool(saw)camefromahigh,land.HepassedbythemosqueofBanuMu'awiya,wentinandobservedtworak'ahthereandwe

alsoobservedprayeralongwithhimandhemadealongsupplicationtohisLord.Hethencametousandsaid:IaskedmyLord

three things and He has grantedme twobuthas withheld one. Ibegged my Lord that my Ummah should not be destroyed

becauseof famineandHegrantedmethis.And IbeggedmyLord thatmyUmmahshouldnotbedestroyedbydrowning (by

deluge)andHegrantedmethis.AndIbeggedmyLordthatthereshouldbenobloodshedamongthepeopleofmyUmmah,but

HEdidnotgrantit.

ImamBukhariMasjidinMadhina.ThiswasHomeofImamBukhari(rah)(FamousforHisHadeesShariff)whichwaslater

convertedintoMasjid.

SAQEEFAH.(ThegardenupAlBaiya)TheOathofAllegiance.ThisSaqeefahwasfortheQabeelahBaniSaaidahAlKhazrajiyyah

&aspertheHadithofBukhari&Muslim.Prophet(saw)oncewenttoSaqeefahBaniSaaidah(withsomeSahabah)&restedfora

while,&SahlBinSaad(r.a)offeredhimsomewaterandmilk,laterheprayedthere.

AbuBakrSiddique(r.a)waschosenasthe1stCaliphhereafterProphet(saw)demise.AbuBakr(r.a)said:Itisnotlawfulforthe

Muslimstohavetwoleaders.Shouldthiseveroccur,thenconflictwillbreakoutamongtheminsocialandlegalmatters,and

theirunitywillbreak,givingwaytogeneraldiscordandstrife.This,inturn,willcausetheabandonmentoftheSunnahandthe

spreadofBidah(innovations),duetowhich,suchinsurgencyanddisordershallarise,forwhichsharewillbenorremedy.

SouqAlMANAAKAH was here west of Masjid Nabwi. Jews controlled the commercial movement and activities here. Upon

requestofMuslimsthisopenmarketwasestablishedbyProphet(saw)forthepeopleofMadinahanddisappearedin3rdofthe

hijrah,aftertheBattleofBadr.IbnHishamhasreportedthatthereasonthatitceasedtoexistwasbecauseofwhathappenedto

aMuslimwoman,whodisplayedherwaresinthemarketforsale.Shesatatthegoldsmith,whowantedhertouncoverherface.

Sherefused,(hesecretly)fastenedtheedgeofherthobe(Arabicdress)fromtheback(tosomething)andwhenshemovedshe

wasuncovered.ShecriedoutandaMuslimmanjumpedandkilledthegoldsmith.Then,theJewsgatheredandkilledhim.The

Prophet (saw), withhis Companions, laid siege to themuntil they surrendered. Hisjudgment against them was that they be

banishedfromAlMadinah,forever.ArealocatednorthofMasjidAli(r.a)andeastofMasjidNabwi.

ALIbinABITALIB(r.a)Masjid:Prophet(saw)conductedEidprayershere.

ABU BAKR SIDDIQUEMasjid. Prophet (saw) on some occasions conducted Eid prayer here. Abu Bakr & also performed Eid

prayersinthismosque.ItspresentbuildingwasconstructedbySultanMahmoodKhanofTurkey.

GHAMAMAHMasjid:ThenameGhamaamahbecamefamousin17thyearofHijrah;duringthecaliphateofUmarIbnAlKhattab

RadiAllahoAnhwhenHijaaz,Madinah&itssurroundingswerestruckbydrought(Qaht).Umar(r.a)tookthehandofAbbas(r.a)

inhishands&prayedYaAllaah,weaskyouonbehalfofyourProphetsunclethatYouTakeawaythedrought&Showerthe

rain.AndtheyhadnotmovedfromwheretheywerestandingbutAllaahSentwaterfromtheskies,cloudscameimmediately&

itrained.Soduetothatincident,MusallatookthenameasMasjidulGhamaamah(Ghamaammeanscloud).Prophet(saw)also

performedSalatulIstasqaaandtheJanaza(funeral)prayerofNajashi,theEmperorofAksuminAbyssinia(Ethiopia).Itspresent

buildingwasconstructedbySultanMahmoodKhanofTurkey.

UMARbinKHATTAB(r.a)MasjidnearMasjidNabwi.Prophet(saw)heldprayerhereandlaterUmar(r.a)conductedEidSalah.

USMANbinAffaan(r.a)masjid:ThiswashomeofUsman(r.a)whichwaslaterconvertedtoaMasjid.LocatedtoeastofUmar

MasjidandnorthofBilalmasjidontheAbdulMuhsinIbnAbdalAzizroadandoppositetoDatesmarket.SomesayHadhratAli

(r.a)madeEidSalahhereduringthesiegeofHadhratUsman(r.a).

the mosque bears the mark of Mare hoof of Prophet (saw). When Abdullah ibn Masood (r.a) reciting Quraan ayah: 4:41,

Prophet(saw)toldhimtostoprecitingandtearsstartedtoflowfromhiseyes.

MUGHASALAMasjid inMadinah:Masjid,whichwasoneofthehousesofAbuBakrSiddique(r.a)afterhemarrieda ladyfrom

(saw)madeHijrahtoMadinah,hearrangedapeaceagreementamongstallparties.This iscalledConstitutionofMadinah.But

the Jewsaccordingtotheircustomcontinuedplottingandconspiringtosuchanextentthattheyevenplannedthemurderof

Prophet (saw),thereforeProphet(saw) inthemonthofRabialAwwalbesiegedthem.Thesiege lasted for6daysafterwhich

theywereexpelledfromMadinah.AMasjidwasbuiltattheplacewhereProphet(saw)andhisSahabahoffered6nightsprayer

duringthesiege.ThisMasjidlaterconstructedbyfamousKhalifaUmaribnAbdulAziz(rah)bornin63Hijri.Alsoduringhissiege

theprohibitionofwinewasrevealed.SotheSahabahpouredawayallthewinetheypossessed.Thewinepouredawaybythe

SahabahwasknownasFadheekh.

happened

that

Prophet

(saw)

was

lying

on

the

Lap

of

Ali

(r.a)

in

this

area,

fell

asleep.

The

Time

was

of

ASAR

and

Ali

(r.a)

wasseeingthesunsettinginfrontofhiseyes.Ali(r.a)alwaysprayedhisprayersontimeandthiswasthefirsttimethathewas

going to misshisprayers. But hedinthave the courage to wake theProphet (saw)buthis eyesbecame wetandhe started

crying...histearsfellontheblessedcheeksProphet(saw)andhegotup.OnseeingAli(r.a)Prophet(saw)askedthereasonof

crying,heansweredthattheSunhassetAsarPrayershavebecomeQadha.Firsttime inhis lifehemissedhisAsarPrayerson

time. To thisProphet (saw)saidDoyouwant readQadhaaurAdha. Ali (r.a) saidAdha. SoProphet (saw) raisedhisblessed

fingersandpointedittowardstheSUNandtheSUNstartedfollowingthefingersofourProphet(saw)andtheSunwhichhadjust

nowSET,wasoutagainandthetimeforASARhadcomebackonceagainonthesignalofProphet(saw)andAli(r.a)prayedhis

ASARontimeonceagain.

BUSTAANUSHSHIFA,siteofKhakeShifanearBeerGhars.ItisreportedthatProphet(saw)visitedBaniHarithtribe&theywere

lookingtired,Prophet(saw)askedthemWhyyouaresotired.Theysaidthatwearesufferingwithfever.Prophet(saw)said

HowfarareyoufromSuaib?TheysaidWhatshouldwedowithit?Prophet(saw)saidTakethesoilfromSUAIB&putitin

water&someonefromyoushouldspitinthatwater&say:BythenameofAllah,soilofourlandwithspittalofsomeoneamong

us; isShifa (cure) foroursickbytheorderofAllah.Probably itwasmeanttotakeGhusl fromthatwater&whenBaniHarith

bathedwithsoilfromSuaib+water+spittal,theirfeverwasgone.BustaanushShifa isalsocalledTurbahSuaib, its location is

veryneartoBeerGhars.

thankeepmeon thissurface.LaterherodetoMakkahmadeatreatywithAbuSufiyanand incitedtotakeuparmsagainst

Muslims.ItisonthewaytoButhaanDamrighthandside.OnRabiAlAwwal14th,atnight,theyear3A.H.hewaskilledaftera

goodplanningbySalkanbinSalamah(r.a),AbuNailah(r.a).

Prophet(saw)wifeMARIAQIBTIYAhomeinMadinah,Qubaarea,nowconvertedintograveyard.Shediedduringthecaliphate

ofUmaribnalKhattaab,inMuharramof16AH.Umargatheredthepeoplehimselfandledthefuneralprayerforher.Shewas

buried in alBaqi. Ibraheem son of Prophet (saw) through Maria died in 18 months old, buried in Jannatul Baqi. Among the

ScholarsofIslamthereisdifferenceofopinionregardingMariawhethershewasaconcubineorslaveorwifetoProphet(saw).

Verily,Wehaveseentheturningofyour(Muhammeds)facetowardstheheaven.Surely,WeshallturnyoutoaQiblah(prayer

direction) that shallpleaseyou, so turnyourface in thedirectionofAlMasjidAlHaram (atMakkah).Andwheresoeveryou

peopleare,turnyourfaces(inprayer) inthatdirection.[2:144]SoTwoRakahofDhuharprayerswereprayedfacingMasjide

AqsaandothertwoRakahfacingKhaanaaeKaaba.HenceProphet(saw)startedwalkingfromthedirectionofMasjideAqsato

theoppositewall,directionofKhaanaeKaabawhichalltheSahabahfollowedandcompletedtheSalaahwithoutbreaking it.

Untillate1980thereweretwoMihrabsandlaterreplacedwithlargeMarbleplaque.

theWadi':"ThisisSajaasij,aWadifromtheWadisofJannah,70ProphetsbeforemehaveprayedinthisMasjid&ProphetMusa

(a.s)crossed thisWadiwith70,000pilgrims from Bani Israeel (while going toHajj),& Qiyamahwillnevercome till Isa Ibne

MaryamcomestoSajaasij(goingforHajjORUmrah).Followtheoldsingletrackrouteyoucanfindthis.

Many Hajis (Arabs and others) after Hajj ceremony are not willing to go Madinah Munawwarah, because they are not

welcomedbyourProphet(saw).OnlyAashiqeRasool(saw)willvisitMadinahMunawwarah.

AbdullaahbinUmar(r.a)wouldobserveandscrutinizecloselyeverysayingandactionoftheProphet(saw)invarioussituations

and, he would practice what he observed closely and with devotion. For example, if Abdullaah (r.a) saw the Prophet (saw)

performingSalat inaparticularplace,hewould laterpray inthesameplace.IfhesawtheProphet(saw)makingasupplication

whilestanding,hewouldalsomakeaduaawhilestanding.Ifhesawhimmakingaduaawhilesitting,hewoulddothesame.On

ajourneyifhesawtheProphet(saw)descendfromhiscamelataparticularplaceandpraytworakats,andhehadoccasionto

passonthesameroute,hewouldstopatthesameplaceandpraytworakats.InaparticularplaceinMakkah,heonceobserved

theProphet'scamelmakingtwocompleteturnsbeforehedismountedandprayedtworakats.Itmightbethatthecameldidthat

involuntarilybutAbdullaahibnUmar(r.a)whenhehappenedtobeinthesameplaceatanothertime,madehiscamelcomplete

twoturnsbeforemakingitkneelanddismounting.Hethenprayedtworakatsinpreciselythesamemannerashehadseenthe

Prophet(saw)do.

HewaseighteenyearsoldattheendofProphet(saw)in632A.H.Hewouldpracticestepbystepwhatheobservedcloselyand

withdevotionofProphet (saw).Aaisha (r.a),noticeddevotionofAbdullah ibnUmar (r.a)totheProphet (saw)and remarked:

"TherewasnoonewhofollowedthefootstepsoftheProphet(saw),intheplaceswherehealightedasdidIbnUmar."
