Day 1 & 2 - USA to the Holy Land Your spiritual pilgrimage begins as you depart the USA on anovernight flight. You will be welcomed to the Holy Land by our airportrepresentative and transferred to your Bethlehem hotel. Enjoy dinnerbefore retiring for the night.

Day 3 - Qasr El Yehud, Wadi Qelt, Jericho, Qumran & Dead SeaVisit the baptismal site of Qasr el Yehud, where tradition says Jesuswas baptized by John the Baptist. Just off the Roman road the Jesus"walked", is the Wadi Qelt gorge, site of the Monastery of St. George.Journey to Jericho (considered the oldest city in the world) to visitthe ruins of the ancient city conquered by Joshua (Josh. 6:1).FromJericho, in the distance you can see the traditional site of theTemptation of Jesus (Matt.4:1). Celebrate Mass in the Church of theGood Shepherd in Jericho near a sycamore tree and rememberZacchaeus who climbed to see Jesus (Luke 18-19). Travel toQumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947. Endyour day with the opportunity to take a dip in the mineral ladenwaters of the Dead Sea.

Day 4 - Herodion, Bethlehem & BethanyExplore one of the most exciting archeological digs in Israel— theHerodion, the palace-fortress and final resting place of Herod theGreat. In Bethlehem, visit the cave revered as Jesus’ birthplacewhich now resides in the world’s oldest functioning church (Matt.1:18-25). Celebrate Mass in Bethlehem and then gaze out overShepherds’ Field where the angels first proclaimed the Good News.Visit Bethany, the home of Lazarus, Mary and Martha. Here Jesusvisited on several occasions, and raised Lazarus from the dead (John11).

Day 5 - Cana, Nazareth & Mount of PrecipiceVisit the Franciscan Wedding Church at Cana, site of Jesus’ firstmiracle as He changed water into wine (John 2). Continue on toNazareth, Jesus’ boyhood home (Matthew 2:23) and celebrate Massin the Basilica of the Annunciation. You will also see the House ofthe Holy Family, St. Joseph's Workshop and St. Joseph's Church(Luke 2:41-52; Matt. 2:19-23). Stand Atop the the Mount ofPrecipice, where Luke describes how Jesus was rejected by those inthe synagogue after He taught them. Filled with anger they “led Himunto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they mightcast Him down headlong” (Luke 4: 29).

Day 6 - The GalileeEnjoy beautiful Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry, and visitthe synagogue located on the site where Jesus taught (Matt.4:13,23). Sail across the Sea of Galilee and experience a special on-board

worship service. Listen to Jesus’s words from His Sermon on theMount at the Mount of Beatitudes (Matt. 5-7) and celebrate Massat the Church of the Beatitudes. At Tabgha, traditional location ofthe feeding of the 5,000, explore the Church of the Fish and theLoaves (Luke 9:10). Take a moment to reflect and pray in the Chapelof the Primacy, where Peter professed his devotion to the risen Christ(John 21). In Magdala, once home to Mary Magdalene, visit arecently discovered first-century synagogue.

Day 7 - Mount Tabor, Emmaus & Yad VashemAs you stand on Mount Tabor, contemplate what it must have beenlike for Saints Peter, James and John to behold the glory of theTransfigured Christ (Matt. 17:2). In Emmaus (Time Permitting), you’llsee the traditional site where Jesus appeared to two disciples afterHis resurrection. Travel to Ein Karem, the village where John theBaptist was born and the Virgin Mary visited Elisabeth prior to ourLord's birth (Luke 1:26-40). Visit the Church of St. John, birthplaceof John the Baptist, and celebrate Mass. Visit the Yad VashemHolocaust Memorial and be touched by its poignant images. beforereturning to your hotel for dinner.

Day 8 - JerusalemBe inspired by the breathtaking beauty of Jerusalem (“the GoldenCity") as you stand on the Mount of Olives, the place from whichJesus ascended into heaven forty days after His resurrection (Acts1:9-12). Visit the Church of Pater Noster and celebrate Mass in theGarden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed before His crucifixion(Matt. 26:36-44). Visit the Tomb of the Virgin Mary. On Mount Zion,see the House of the High Priest Caiaphas, where Jesus wasimprisoned the night of His arrest (Matt. 26:57-65). Nearby is theUpper Room revered as the location of the Last Supper (Mark 14:12-26). Conclude your day by visiting the Church of the Dormition ofMary.

Day 9 - Jerusalem & the Old CityTake time to pray at the Western Wall, all that remains of Herod’sTemple. Sit on the Teaching Steps where Jesus once taught. Take aleisurely stroll down the Cardo, the main street of the Old City wheremodern shops stand between ancient ones. View the Pool ofBethesda, where Jesus performed the Sabbath miracle of healing(John 5:1-31), and sing a hymn in the Church of St. Anne, renownedfor its beautiful acoustics. At Herod’s Antonia Fortress, see whereJesus was brought before Pontius Pilate (Luke 23:1-11). Walk theVia Dolorosa, “the Way of the Cross,” and celebrate the Mass of theResurrection at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Conditions and LimitationsThis is a brief description of the plan available for all Travel Protection sales for Trips departing January 1, 2013 and after. Certain exclusions andlimitations apply and are detailed in the Certificate of Coverage. For example, coverage does not apply to: any Sickness or condition of you, a TravelingCompanion or a Family Member traveling with you that existed during the 60 days prior to the effective date of the coverages (The Pre-ExistingCondition Exclusion is waived if payment for this plan is received by Educational Opportunities Tours, Inc. at or before the final payment due date forYour Trip or 105 days before departure date, whichever occurs first.), suicide, normal pregnancy, war or any act of war. Other Covered Reasons, asdefined, includes the following events or their consequences: Cancellation or Interruption of your Trip due to: Inclement Weather, unannounced Strike,mechanical breakdown that causes complete cessation of services of Your Common Carrier for at least 12 consecutive hours; a documented trafficaccident while en route to departure; being hijacked or quarantined; jury duty; destruction of your home or destination by fire, flood, burglary or naturaldisaster; being called to the emergency service of government to provide aid or relief in the event of a natural disaster; a documented theft of passportsor visas; a transfer of employment of 250 miles or more; or Revocation of military leave. Additional Cancellation ProtectionWhen You purchase this Travel Protection Plan at or before the finalpayment due date for Your Trip, you also receive the EducationalOpportunities Tours Pre-Departure Cancellation Waiver Benefit thatallows you to cancel your Educational Opportunities Tours travelarrangements up to the day of departure for any reason (excludesno shows and those not permitted boarding). With this EducationalOpportunities Tours Cancellation Waiver, your non-refundable landcancellation penalties will be refunded in Educational OpportunitiesTours travel certificates. Certain travel programs are not eligible forthis benefit, such as cruise and land programs listed and detailed onthe Educational Opportunities website (www.eo.travel). Premiumsmust be paid in addition to initial or second deposit prior to thefinal payment for coverage to be in effect.
