"Whenever we receive Holy Communion, we
enter into communion with the Holy Trinity. With each reception of Holy Communion, we
experience, already here on earth, the same
divine activity that we will one day experience in all its fullness in heaven the
divine activity of love eternally taking place
within the Trinity . . . God wants to live his triune life in us. We are called to be dwelling
places for the Holy Trinity and to enter into a
personal relationship with each of the persons in God."
Please take time to THANK our Lord for His divine gift of Himself. - Vinney Flynn, author of “7 Secrets of the Eucharist” p.27-28
Welcome
Visitors!
Father Farrell, the
staff and parishioners
of Holy Family
Catholic Church
welcome you!
Whether you are
here for a few days,
weeks, or months we
are happy that you
have chosen us to be
your parish away
from home. Those of
us who reside here
permanently are few
in number perhaps
fifteen percent of
those who attend our
weekend liturgies.
We are inspired by
the many thousands
who join us in
celebrating Mass,
both on Sunday and
during the week. The
beautiful example of
faith you give us by
your presence
strengthens our
commitment to serve
your spiritual needs.
We especially invite
you to worship
Our Lord in our
Eucharistic Adoration
Chapel located to the
right of the Church as
you leave.
We hope your stay
on our lovely island is
enjoyable, we pray
that your journey
home is safe and we
look forward to your
return visit to us
your parish away
from home.

THE WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE
SANCTIFICATION OF PRIESTS takes
place every year on the Solemnity of the Most
Sacred Heart of Jesus. This year the
Solemnity is THIS FRIDAY, June 8.
Below is a prayer that was composed by Pope
Saint John Paul II presented for your prayer
offering for our priests and those whom God is
calling who have not yet heard or answered His
call.
O Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ
and Mother of priests,
accept this title which we bestow on you
to celebrate your motherhood
and to contemplate, with you, the Priesthood
of your Son and of your sons,
O Holy Mother of God.
O Mother of Christ, to the Messiah-Priest you gave
a body of flesh, for the anointing of the Holy Spirit,
for the salvation of the poor and the contrite of
heart, guard priests in your heart and in the Church, O Mother of the Savior.
O Mother of Faith, you accompanied to the Temple the Son of Man, the fulfilment of the promises
given to the fathers; give to the Father for His glory the priests of your Son, O Ark of the Covenant.
O Mother of the Church, in the midst of the disciples in the Upper Room you prayed to the Spirit for
the new People and their Shepherds; obtain for the order of presbyters a full measure of gifts,
O Queen of the Apostles. O Mother of Jesus Christ, you were with Him at the beginning of His life
and mission, you sought the Master among the crowd, you stood beside Him when He was lifted up
from the earth consumed as the one eternal sacrifice and you had John, your son, near at hand,
accept from the beginning those who have been called, protect their growth, in their life ministry
accompany your sons, O Mother of Priests. Amen. (John Paul II, Pastores dabo vobis, n. 82)

THE HOLY FACE PROJECT In these turbulent and unprecedented times, we felt it important to bring Our Lord among us in a unique way by means of using highway billboards. This project was successfully done in Ireland not long ago with extremely positive results. There is no verbiage on the billboard, just Our Lord’s Holy Face. Some will know immediately who He
is, others may question and inquire, and hopefully all will be impacted. Permission was obtained from the Shroud of Turin Education and Research Assn, Inc. (STERA, Inc.) to use a replica of the original digital image of the Holy Face on the billboard. This digital image is the one taken during the initial testing of the Shroud Committee in 1978 by official committee photographer, Barrie Schwortz. For additional
information on the Shroud of Turin, visit www.Shroud.com. A billboard of the Holy Face of Jesus has been in place at this location for over one year: Rt. 315 (Pritchardville, SC) – the connector between Rt. 17 and Rt. 46 to Bluffton, visible on the way from Savannah area to Bluffton area; 1-2 miles prior to Pink Pig Restaurant on right side of the road. Our Rosary Prayer Group has been privately funding the billboard during this time; 16,000 cars a week pass before this billboard. The cost of the billboard is $1800 this year because we need to re-digitize the image before this
summer. We have also been given permission by STERA, Inc. to offer copies of the Holy Face of
Jesus to parishioners: 8” x 10” and 11” x 14” images are available for suggested donations at the Religious Articles Shop. Stop by to view this extraordinary image of Our Lord. All donations help fund the Holy Face billboard. For
more info, contact Val Kelly (Rosary Prayer Group): 843-384-3450 or [email protected].
