Holy Angels’ Parish Pignic - Sunday, June 25
Welcome to the annual Pignic Parishioners and Friends! Please join us at the East Pavilion in Pinafore Park and bring your lawn chair. Food will be served from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Pork, apple sauce, hot dog, baked potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, dessert and watermelon. $12.00/person or $30.00/family.

St. Anne’s Vacation Bible School “Mighty Fortress”

Children from JK to Grade 7, as of September 2017, are invited to a week of fun and adventure. Listen to great stories about Jesus, make cool crafts, sing fun songs, play exciting games, eat tasty snacks & make lots of friends. Cost is $30.00 per child. All parishioners of our Communion of Parishes are invited to register or volunteer. We are still looking for Snack Preparers. Registration forms are available at the entrances of both Churches. Registration deadline is NOW OVERDUE.
ST. ANNE’S PRAYER GROUP: Join us the last Friday of every month at St. Anne’s Chapel at 2 p.m. to pray for vocations. All are welcome. ST. ULTREYA – Those who have attended a Cursillo are invited to an Ultreya on Sunday, June 25th at Holy Angels’ Church following the 7:00 p.m. Mass. CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE DAY at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary, St. Patrick’s Church in Merlin will be held on Wednesday, July 19th. The day begins at 10 a.m. with Prayers, Mass, Rosary and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. The day ends at 3 p.m. Please bring your own lunch and lawn chair. We hope you will be able to join us for this wonderful day. LEGION OF MARY PILGRIMAGE to the Our Lady of the Rosary Shrine, to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of Mary on Tuesday, August 15th. LITURGY OF THE WORD – 12TH SUNDAY ORDINARY TIME
First Reading: The Lord has rescued the poor from the clutches of the wicked (Jeremiah 20:10-13). Second Reading: The grace of God overflows for all (Romans 5:12-15). Gospel: All who acknowledge Jesus before others will likewise be acknowledged by Jesus before the Father (Matthew 10:26-33). LITURGY OF THE WORD – 13TH SUNDAY ORDINARY TIME
First Reading: Elisha promises a baby son to the hospitable woman (2 Kings 4:8-11, 14-16a). Second Reading: We shall live in newness of life as Christ was raised from the dead (Romans 6:3-4, 8-11). Gospel: Whoever gives but a cup of cold water to another will surely be rewarded (Matthew 10:37-42). VOCATION VIEWS: Courage is needed to speak God’s word. Let no one intimidate you.
