    MontageDesciption:Creating a new and fresh inspirational poster using acomposite of images and type.

    Objectives:- Learn to manage Photoshop layers.- Learn to blend images together smoothly, using masks.- Use filters. (Apply at least one)

    - Apply appropriate typography.

    - Choosing good quality images.- Apply typography principles- Unifying a piece with a consistent theme

    Process:I brainstormed few ideas that I could use for the poster. I came up with myfinal idea after i did some researches on Google.com for some ideal images.I then edited the two images that I decided to use for this poster by usingcolorization on Photoshop. I used the brush tool to blend the imagesgradually together. I also added my text Live in the Moment and applied afilter notepaper on the text as well.

    Business CardDesciption:Use a new logo to create business card for a company

    Objectives:- Use Te basic tools of Illustrator & InDesign.- Create a new logo to fit a company or personal image.- Design consistent layouts for a business card.- Learning to keep thing simple by having watermarks and

    drop shadows light and white space.

    Process:I first created a simple logo on Illustrator for the Kisa

    Wedding Planner company. Ten I place the file intoInDesign to start creating the business for the company. I wanted to havemore contrast with the colors that I used on the Logo. I then decided to useblack for the color of Business Card. Te use of color is able to catch theattention. I tired to keep it simple but eye-catching.

    ImagingDesciption:A personal taken photo that has been edited by Photoshop.

    Program(s)/Tools:Photoshop (Adobe Creative Cloud)

    Objectives:- Learn basic photography skills.- Adjust image brightness, contrast, hue and saturation levels.- Use a selection tool to isolate a portion of the image.- Desaturate the selected portion of the image.- Use a filter or colorize a portion of the image.

    Process:I first took the original image by following the rule of thirds. I then croppedthe photo into a 6in x 6in image and started editing the photo by usingPhotoshop. I adjusted the colorful background into black/white. I also toneddown the background so the flower could become the main focus on theimage. Moreover, I adjusted the color of the main image, the flower, so it

    would even stand out more in the photo. Finally, I did some touch up byusing spot healing brush tool and brush tool to cover some black spot on theleafs and flowers, as well as the fire extinguisher on the wall that wasoriginally part of the photo.

    Objectives:- Find, scan and import a high-quality image.- Create a full-bleed design- Use text boxes for layout in Word.- Insert and edit images in Word.

    Process:I wanted to do something different and thats the reason why I picked thispicture. I first edited the picture with adjusting the contrast and brightness ofthe picture. I was going to use left or right alignment for the text; however, I

    want to create an artistic alignment. Tats the reason why I put all all the textwithin or on the toilet and the lid. I also use word art to draw attention to theD--P.

    BrochureDesciption:Tis is a tri-fold brochure that I created for the company Usana to promotetheir USANA Essential.

    Objectives:- Set up and align a two-sided, folded document.- Create an original company logo and use it in a brochure.- Incorporate quality images.- Write at least 250 words of original copy with at least

    three paragraphs.

    - rim for a full bleed and print in duplex (two-sided) color.

    Process:I first created the layout for the brochure. Ten I used Photoshop to edit thephotos to use in the brochure. I also use Illustrator to turn the logo into a

    vector. I created the overall layout for the brochure before putting color andthe contrast of the text. I then did a final check to make sure everything islayout well.

    Objectives:- Size (300 500 pixels ) and optimize an original logo as a .png for

    a web page.- Write content to describe the process of creating your logo and how

    it appeals to a target audience.- Design a web page using HML to display the logo and content.- Acquire a working knowledge of HML.- Acquire a working knowledge of CSS.

    - Compress multiple files in a zipped folder to attach as one file.

    Process:I first use extWrangle to write the content for this webpage as a hmtldocument. I then link the CSS style to the html document to create this

    webpage. I applied the principles of PARCF to this webpage. I also usevarious resources online to help me to get all the code and hex code (color) tocreate this webpage.

    A black and white flier for a Graduate Leadership Conference

    Objectives:- Apply the design principles and use appropriate typography.- Incorporate basic InDesign skills to improve basic flier layout.- Retrieve image and logo from links on this page.- Create a project folder with image, logo and InDesign document

    to keep links intact.

    Process:I first created 4 sketches with different ideas. and then i com bined the ideasfrom my sketches in order to create this final flier with InDesign. Te use ofdifferent fonts demonstrates the principle of contrast and i also used imageand objects to create flow on my flier. Leaving white space on my flier wasable to create room for the readers to breath. It is easy to read andunderstand by using simple layout and design.
