• 27th May: Taiwan products with DEHP Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate – a product used in making plastic.

• Powdered probiotics (e.g. yogurt, yogurt drinks), fruit juices, fruit jam, powder and syrup by 500 product items manufactured by 155 Taiwanese food and drink companies have been found to contain DEHP.

• Taking DEHP in large amount may cause cancer, fertility problems and kidney failure.

2nd June: Outbreak is new form of E. Coli, causing the deadly complication which destroys red blood cells affecting the kidneys and central nervous system.

• More than 1,500 people have been infected and 18 have died. 17 in Germany and 1 in Sweden.

• The victims are mostly children because they have not developed the immune system to fight off the food poisoning.

Normal red blood cellsThis is how our blood looks when we are experiencing optimum health. The Erythrocytes are round and separated and move through the capillaries easily. This blood environment is healthy at 7.35. but most of us is unable to sustain this pH level.

• In a diabetic patient, the body is acidic, due to the sugar in the blood; the blood is thus extra sticky. Subsequently this will give rise to red blood cells and platelets to be stuck together and cause minute blood vessels to be blocked.

immune cells.

cells, coming from the bone marrow, and T-cells, which

are trained within the thymus to combat foreign invaders.
