This is where your exciting educational journey in Holland begins.We’ve partnered with some of Holland’s top universities to provide you with the preparation you’ll need to progress to one of their world-class degrees. You’ll be able to choose from English language, International Foundation and Pre-Masters programmes to give you the best start for your university studies.

At the Holland International Study Centre (ISC), you’ll be studying in the heart of lively Amsterdam alongside students from around the world. Prepare for your international careerAs a graduate from a Dutch university, you’ll have the exciting chance to stay and work in Holland after your degree.. With favourable visa options for international students, both during and after your studies, Holland is a very welcoming destination.

Working after your degree Holland is one of the very few countries in the world that offers international students the opportunity to spend up to one year looking for employment after graduation.

If you want to start your career in Holland, you can apply for an orientation year up to three years after you graduate. With the orientation year you can spend one year looking for work and stay for as long as you hold that job.

English Foundation Programme Key facts

Entry dates: Two terms – January 2017 Three terms – September 2016

English entry requirements:IELTS 5.0 or above (minimum 5.0 in writing, no other sub scores below 4.5) or above (or equivalent qualification).

Academic entry requirements: You need to meet the academic entry requirements of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Stenden University of Applied Sciences or VHL University of Applied Sciences Bachelors programme.

English Pre-Masters Key facts

Entry dates: Two terms – January 2017 Three terms – September 2016

English entry requirements:Two terms - IELTS 5.5 (minimum 5.5 in writing, no other sub scores below 5.0) or above (or equivalent qualification).Three terms – IELTS 5.0 (minimum 5.0 in writing, no other sub scores below 4.5) or above (or equivalent qualification).

The Holland ISC has reserved rooms especially for you and your fellow students at the Student Hotel. You can choose from two great locations in Amsterdam – City or West.

Enjoy comfortable, fully-furnished rooms and suitesYou’ll be able to choose from different types of rooms to suit you. Luxurious suites offer you more space and privacy with your own en-suite bathroom and kitchen. If you prefer to have company when you’re at home, standard rooms still offer the privacy of your own en-suite bathroom, but you’ll share a kitchen with about ten other people. These fully-equipped shared kitchens are great places for meeting new people from over 50 different countries.

Get everything you need with all-inclusive servicesYou won’t need to worry about extra costs at the Student Hotel, because energy costs and service fees are included in the price. Plus every room is fully-furnished with a comfortable bed, desk and chair, and flatscreen TV. Amenities including high-speed Internet and Wi-Fi and gym access are also included.

You must have Personal Insurance It is essential that international students have the protection of personal insurance whilst in the Netherlands. To cover you as a student at the International Study Centre (ISC), you may purchase our “Study Care” insurance cover. This policy will cover you for loss of personal possessions, travel delay, as well as providing medical insurance until the end of your ISC academic programme. You can purchase Study Care Insurance as part of your application process. If you prefer not to take out Study Care insurance, you must provide proof of alternative adequate insurance cover.
