Happy Holidays Teachers,
I hope everyone can enjoy this resource for your Holiday Unit. I wanted to thank you for downloading this product. It is one of my favorite units to teach in Dual Language because of the opportunities it has to showcase other cultures around the world.
What I’ve noticed is that the students are always intrigued by how some people do not celebrate the same way they do. After watching the videos they also have connections and questions around how some people are similar or different from their own families. Classroom anchor charts to demonstrate this really help when making these connections. I’ve added a few slides for that purpose.
I have also revised and made some changes for the spelling of Hanukkah to include both Hanukkah and Jónuca. In some Spanish speaking countries there are variations in the spelling. Thank you to some of my followers who have provided feedback. Your feedback allows the products to only get better with time. I wish you all Happy Holidays with your loved ones and family.
Happy Teaching! Cindy’s Bilingual Box
