Dear Parents,
Please take time to let go of stress and explore this summer. WE MADE IT! What
a hard and wondrous journey. Thank you to the parents who were able to celebrate
Mass with their children today.
The students are so excited this week. It is as though they have been given new life.
Dressing up like their favorite holiday yesterday was a hoot. Smiles abound and
laughter rings and for the first time ever we are hearing that they don't want school to
end. Of course this is due to their limited time together this year. Have fun!
Gratefully,
Debbie Marquez

REFLECTING SUNDAY’S GOSPEL MESSAGE
FAITH HEROES THROUGH FAITH FORMATION
REFLECTING THE WORD
In today’s Gospel, the disciples are asked to prepare for
the Passover meal, and they actively do so. When we
receive the Body and Blood of Christ at Communion,
we imitate that Passover meal Jesus shared with his
disciples. We welcome Christ not only into our presence,
but also into our bodies in a very intimate way. But just
like the disciples, we need to prepare ourselves and our
surroundings for Christ’s presence. We need to prepare
our bodies and our soul for Christ’s presence. How full
of wonder and thanksgiving we should be to welcome him
into our lives in such a way!
……ON THE WAY TO MASS Ask your children to notice how the lay ministers
prepare the table.
ON THE WAY HOME FROM MASS…… Ask your family to share their observations during the
Liturgy of the Eucharist. In what ways can your family
help at Mass in the future?
LIVING THE WORD
Throughout the centuries, there have been many names for
the three Persons of the Holy Trinity. For example, God is
called Father, Mother, Creator; the Son is called the
Redeemer and Beloved; and the Holy Spirit is called
Sustainer and Love. Create with your children a chart with
three sections and list new names that help your children
identify with the Persons of the Trinity. Look to the Bible
and Catholic artwork to help with this. Which name do you
identify with most?
