What is obesity ?

Too much body fat

Not just being overweight

Differential between calories in / out – out of balance

Not enough exercise and often an over consumption of over high fat food

Now seen as a chronic disease

Public health crisis : now 3 x as many people die from obesity linked disease than from malnutrition
