HMSN Band & Chorus Banquet Tuesday, June 2 nd , 2015 5:30-9:30pm Lobster Shanty 83 Channel Drive Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey We will enjoy a buffet dinner overlooking the bay with DJ and dancing, including: Fresh Fruit Platter, Assorted Breads Rice, Roasted Potatoes, & Vegetables New England Clam Chowder Caesar Salad Chicken Francaise, Penne ala Vodka & Fried Seafood Combination (Scallops, Shrimp & Flounder) Build Your Own Ice Cream Sundae Bar Coffee, Tea, Milk & Soda There will be an iMovie of the 2014-2015 Band & Chorus students including a special portion for 8 th graders who are graduating this year. 8 th Grade Students are invited to bring BOTH of their parents/guardians as guests. You may not bring someone who is not your parent/guardian as one of your guests. Anyone attending the event should dress nicely. Girls should wear a dress, skirt & top or dressy pants & top with shoes. Boys should wear dress pants & a neat shirt with no logo. Polo shirts are acceptable, plain t-shirts are acceptable. Boys should wear shoes, not sneakers. Clothing can be any color. Clothing does not have to conform to concert colors. Cost of the evening is $36 per person. Payment is due in full to Ms. Grego or Ms. Sweet NO LATER THAN Friday, May 22 nd , 2015. Attention Band & Chorus Members!!!

We are creating an iMovie for the Upcoming Music Banquet.

We are accepting pictures from all Chorus & Band Events from the 2014-2015 School Year. We will also accept any photos from past years of band and chorus events that include students who are currently in

7th or 8th grade.

ANY student in ANY grade level may submit GROUP pictures of students participating in band/chorus events. IF YOU DON’T SEND IN PICTURES, YOU WON’T BE IN THE MOVIE! L

8th GRADE STUDENTS ONLY may submit TWO pictures of themselves for the slideshow. These can be any sort of pictures, not just those from chorus & band events. For example, a student may submit their yearbook photo or dance photo. I would love to have one baby picture of each 8th grader for

the slideshow. Examples can be found on last year’s video on the website howellnorthmusicdeptartment.weebly.com

All photos must be appropriate to all who will be viewing them. Photos will be placed in the slideshow at Ms. Grego & Ms. Sweet’s sole discretion, meaning, if they think the pictures are improper, they will not

be used.

The BEST way to submit pictures is to e-mail them to Ms. Grego. However, pictures may also be burned to a disk or a flash drive and handed to Ms. Grego. Ms. Grego WILL NOT accept hard copies of photos.

Hard copies should be scanned and e-mailed to Ms. Grego or burned to a cd or loaded to a flash drive. If ALL you have is a hard copy, you may take a photo of it with your smartphone and e-mail it to Ms. Grego.

If you don’t have a smartphone, bring your photo to Ms. Grego directly and she will take a photo of it.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION: -All students who attend the Banquet MUST be in FULL attendance at dress rehearsals AND the Spring Concert AND have a good record of attendance at rehearsals for band or chorus leading up to the concert. (No more than 3 excused absences or 1 unexcused absence.) If you are not in good standing in chorus and band or if you do not attend the Spring Concert, you may not attend the banquet. Therefore, payments will not be accepted before the May 14th Concert. We will start accepting payments on May 14th and the final day we will collect payments will be May 22nd. -8th Grade Awards for Chorus and Band will be given out at the banquet. 6th and 7th Grade Certificates will also be given out at the banquet. Additional Chaperones: IF there are not enough 8th grade parents to provide adequate supervision for the students (and this does NOT seem likely this year with so many 8th graders involved), we may invite parents of students in other grade levels to attend the Banquet as chaperones & guests. Parents of 7th grade students will be chosen first. It is unlikely that we will need the supervision of 6th grade parents due to the high demand of 7th and 8th grade parents. If you would like to be considered to attend the banquet as a chaperone, please complete this form and return to Ms. Grego or Ms. Sweet by Friday May 22nd, 2015.
