Power Savings

• AMS 2000 takes full advantage of the power settings

– Unloads heads on SATA-II when drive is not accessed for two hours or more ( 23% savings )

– Can turn off any disk at any time for any length of time

• Uses smart algorithms to minimize HDD busy

– Sequential writes and reads done in massive batches

– Large cache to maximize LOR and to minimize HDD usage

• Automatically varies power to each tray and varies speed of fans for further power savings
