These are my first attempts at creating magazines in my chosen genre and style. I am quite happy with the basic layout of the magazines with regards to where images and text are placed, and I believe that it is suitable to the chosen theme and target audience, as well as fairly aesthetically pleasing. I have kept the text mostly rooted towards the left of the magazine, and used only one image throughout both magazines. These images (both related to the main topic of the specific issue in question) dominated the entire background of the cover, with the main bulk of the image being situated towards the left of the magazine, so that it will not be totally covered by text. I think that the images show up quite clearly and do not clash with the text, and I also believe the chosen images are very suitable for the genre and related to the topics of the magazine. I do, however, think that the design could be made more interesting, potentially by adding more colour and different fonts to provide some variety. This change would need to strike a subtle balance, as it would need to still be quite sleek and minimalistic, while also being able to catch the eye and bring attention to itself.
