I thought this might be quite simple and straight forward

But it packs a lot into a small area

• From the Histon Chop Shop in the north down to Jane’s Frames in the south and across to the Rose and Crown in the East

And I know there’s more further south along New Road, Bridge Road, Station Road and Cambridge Road and in Vision Park

It’s obviously a part of the major economy block

But then it’s in all three detail blocks:• Commerce• Pubs, cafes, restaurants and takeaways• Employment

And it also contributes to:• Community/faith and religion; education and training• Recreation and leisure/playgrounds and sports fields• Transport/street scene; parking; public transport;

footpaths• Environment/public open spaces

But it overlaps several blocks

It’s a pretty good street today

Lots of positives

• Pubs, restaurants, churches, shops and professional services as well as public open space

• No empty shops• Several destination

stores• It’s on a bus route

Some negatives

• Is parking an issue?• Should there be more

variety?• Is there enough

evening shopping?
